She knew that her brother had a small apartment here and had even taken in Gu Manxi and her daughter. Zhao Manshi scoffed, thinking that her brother had been deceived. Zhao Manshi always remembered her mother had said that Gu Manxi was not in the right mind, and Zhao Manshi believed her mother's words very much.

"Sister, is my big brother not at home?" Zhao Manshi looked at Gu Manxi who was sitting on the sofa.

Gu Manxi was wearing a simple and elegant long dress today. She did not put on any makeup. Her long hair was casually resting on her shoulders. She actually looked quite elegant and peaceful. Zhao Manshi snorted in her heart. She clearly had no makeup on, but she actually looked better than her!

Zhao Manshi was full of hostility toward this "biological sister" of her.

"Zhao Yan is still busy. He will be back later," Gu Manxi replied indifferently.

Gu Manxi no longer had any good feelings toward Tang Chunxiu's family. She was kind enough to let Zhao Manshi into the house, and that was so far as she would go. 

Zhao Manshi snorted lightly and sat elegantly across the sofa. She sized up the simple and mundane decoration of the apartment. Zhao Manshi said sarcastically, "Honestly, why does Big Brother have to live in such a dilapidated place? Not to mention, he always brings questionable people here."

Gu Manxi focused on the script in her hand and ignored her.

Gu Chu raised her little head and said obediently, "Auntie, you're wrong. Uncle doesn't bring toxic waste like you home."

Zhao Manshi: "You little-"

You little b*stard! When the words were on the tip of her tongue, Zhao Manshi held them back and maintained her ladylike demeanor.

Zhao Manshi made it clear why she was here today. She was mainly here to look for Zhao Yan. Recently, there was a rumor within the capital that the young director Lu Shanhe was preparing a new movie. Moreover, Lu Shanhe seemed to have become friends with Zhao Yan. Lu Shanhe would go to Zhao Yan's house every now and then.

Lu Shanhe's movies were of extremely high quality. They were always nominated for world-class awards. Even if one only had a cameo role in his movie, their status would improve greatly. 

Zhao Manshi minored in acting in university, so she had decent acting abilities. She did not dream of being the main character. She only wanted to play a small role in Lu Shanhe's movie and show her face. With the support of her fame, she would be one step closer to Song Chen.

"Manxi, are you reading the script?" Zhao Manshi noticed the thick notebook in Gu Manxi's hand. There were densely written notes on it. It seemed to be a movie script.

Gu Manxi nodded.

Zhao Manshi covered her mouth and giggled. "Could it be that you also know Director Lu Shanhe and want to use the relationship between Big Brother and Director Lu to find a cameo role in the new movie?"

Zhao Manshi acted like she just heard the biggest joke. Gu Manxi was the mother of a five-year-old child. She was a sl*t who gave birth to a child out of wedlock. Yet, she still wanted to climb up the ladder and become an actress? Was she even worthy?

Or did Gu Manxi think that she could act just because she was beautiful? Little did she know that Director Lu Shanhe hated celebrities who had beauty but no acting skills the most in his life!

"Manxi, I still have to remind you that you're really not suitable to be an actress. Director Lu Shanhe won't even look at you." Zhao Manshi said.

Zhao Manshi was very confident in herself. She did not lack beauty, figure, or acting skills, and she was not much inferior to the award-winning actress, Cao Yuezhi. More importantly, she had a short conversation with Lu Shanhe during the high-class cocktail party.

At that cocktail party, the famous Lu Shanhe stopped her. He took a few deep glances at her and muttered, "How similar." Then, he asked for Zhao Manshi's business card.

In Zhao Manshi's opinion, the famous director did that because he valued her.
