"Congratulations to Host for becoming an Awakened."

Hearing the system's words, a touch of joy revealed on Ye Lee's face.

Ye Lee then went out of the hospital ward with the intention of finding more zombies.

Suddenly, a horrifying scream entered Ye Lee's ears.

Ye Lee could tell it was a human voice, so he quickly followed the sound while bringing his Level 3 zombie along.

Pushing the door open, he witnessed the scene of a few zombies eating the corpse of a doctor.

Nobody would wish to see a group of horrible-looking creatures aggressively devouring the raw flesh of a human being, with blood spilling all over the place. It was just too disturbing!

There were both male and female zombies in the crowd of zombies, and when they spotted Ye Lee, they rushed towards him frantically.

"Aowu!" "Aowu!"

When Ye Lee saw this, he didn't run away. Instead, he ordered the Level 3 zombie to knock down these zombies.

When these zombies confronted with the high-level zombie whose strength was incompatible with theirs, the six zombies lost their fighting abilities. They crumpled to the floor, crying in pain.

Out of the six zombies, four were male, and the other two were female.1

"System, can the male and female zombies be synthesized?" Ye Lee asked the system, looking at the zombies groaning in pain on the ground.

"No, only zombies of the same gender can be synthesized."

In response to the system, Ye Lee nodded his head. The information about the six zombies then appeared in his mind.

The title displayed on each grid of these six zombies was all "Level 1 Zombie." Since they were all on the same level, Ye Lee combined four Level 1 zombies, resulting in two Level 2 zombies.

He then created a Level 2 female zombie by combining the two Level 1 female zombies.

He now had a Level 3 male zombie, two Level 2 male zombies, and one Level 2 female zombie.

He also created another male Level 3 zombie by combining the two Level 2 male zombies.

Now, he had two Level 3 male zombies.

Without any hesitation, Ye Lee combined the two Level 3 male zombies into a Level 4 zombie.

His face lighted up with excitement when he finished synthesizing all of the accessible ones. It would not take him too long to create a mutated zombie at this rate.

Ding...

"Congratulations to Host for randomly obtaining a Treasure Chest. Would you want to open it?"

"Open!"

Ye Lee quickly replied with no hesitation.

"Congratulations to Host for obtaining a steel knife."

"Congratulations to Host for obtaining immunity to corpse poison."

"Congratulations to Host for obtaining a box of food."

Ye Lee's eyes lit up with delight as he heard the system's words. He had to admit that the items in the Treasure Chest this time were really helpful.

A cold light flashed in front of his eyes as he was informed that he had received a steel knife. The next thing he knew, he had a fine knife with a sharp blade in his hand.

Also, the ability to be immune to corpse poison was such an ultimate golden ticket for him. Since he was immune to corpse poison, he didn't need to worry about becoming a zombie from now on.

Then, there came the food!

Ye Lee's mood brightened just thinking about the food box, and happiness filled his mind. He almost forgot that his mouth was dry from thirst, and his stomach was growling from hunger.

He quickly opened the box and found bread and milk inside.

Ye Lee started to wolf down his food. In such an apocalyptic world, the fact that his head and body were still attached to this day was fortunate enough for him. He didn't care about table manners any longer.

He quickly finished the entire box of bread and milk.

He then patted his belly, thinking how good it felt to be full, a feeling he had long forgotten.

Now that he had filled his stomach, then he led the Level 4 male zombie, Level 2 female zombie and set out on his journey of finding more zombies to synthesize.
