Jin Xuechu looked at her from head to toe. "You're done getting ready?"

Yan Qingsi used her hand to toss her hair back. "Me? Needing makeup?"

"Let's go then," Yan Qingsi responded. "I'll give Miss Mai a call so she can head straight to the studio."

Jin Xuechu leaned on the doorframe and remarked, "You're quite ignorant sometimes. In moments like these, aren't you supposed to invite me in? A glass of water would be nice."

Yan Qingsi took her bag and closed the door. "Water? Even hot water is a luxury here."

Ever since she started living there, she has never switched on the fire.

With a shake of the head, Jin Xuechu stretched his hand and lifted Yan Qingsi's chin. "Why are you such a daredevil? Isn't it a good thing if you found a man and got married?"
