Xiao Xu quickly retold the dialogue he overheard outside the equipment room to Yue Tingfeng in an animated fashion, without missing any details.

"That's how it went. Lu Yunyun and Zhao Wenqi are just too mean. I didn't expect those two, behaving so nicely prim and proper usually, to be so evil that it's precipitating out of them. My Miss did nothing to hurt them, yet they plotted against her and uttered such slanderous words about her."

Xiao Xu felt so wronged. The moment he recalled Zhao Wenqi and Lu Yunyun's conversation, he could feel the rage boiling inside him.

Yue Tingfeng spat out his cigarette, stomped it to smithereens. "Keep an eye on her. Don't let her out. Do not let her hear of this matter."

Yue Tingfeng took his leave. Xiao Xu felt helpless, quickly inquired, "Where are you going?"

Yue Tingfeng paid him no heed, speeding away in strides.

He could not bear to do anything to Yan Qingsi but to others, he was not as kindhearted.

The only person permitted to bully Yan Qingsi was him. Even so, he did not manage most of the time. If someone dared to touch his woman... 'Hmph… Since you're seeking death, I shall grant your wish. It'd be a shame to my reputation that I've built up over the years if I don't do it.'

Yue Tingfeng went straight to the film set, found the director and immediately said, "Today's weather is too hot, stop the filming."

Yue Tingfeng smiled. "Don't you understand my words?"

Director Feng understood that Yue Tingfeng was trying to stand up for Yan Qingsi, saying, "CEO Yue, I don't know what you're trying to do, but… if this affects the progress and screening, this will also impact Yan Qingsi. This is her first movie, it's a very important matter for her."

Yue Tingfeng squinted at him. "Of course I understand, no need for you to remind me."

Director Feng realized that there was nothing he could do. Yue Tingfeng was a big shot—a rich guy. With that, he waved his hand, signaling the crew to stop working and go home.

The crowd dispersed, with only the few actresses that plotted against Yan Qingsi remained.
