At the end of the meal, Yan Qingsi went to the toilet again but this time, she returned to the table faster than before. 1

Ye Shaoguang was shocked. He did not expect Yan Qingsi to come back at all. 

After some time, a waitress walked in with a bottle of red wine with two filled glasses. 

Yan Qingsi's lips curved as she looked at Ye Shaoguang. She smiled and said, "This meal is almost over and I have yet to make a toast to Mr. Ye, my bad. My alcohol tolerance isn't that great and I'm not good with spirits but I can take some red wine."

Yan Qingsi reached for the glasses that were being served by the waitress. 

"I'll make a toast to Mr. Ye, thank you for investing in our production. You would drink this for your niece, wouldn't you… Uncle!"

Ye Shaoguang felt awkward. Why was Yan Qingsi this honest?

Everyone else was cheering him on. Since she had addressed him as Uncle, if he did not raise his glass, it would not look good on him.

Ye Shaoguang nodded. "Good! I will do this for you, for addressing me as your uncle."

Ye Shaoguang grabbed the glass from Yan Qingsi. 

Yan Qingsi clinked his glass immediately and downed half the glass of wine in one breath. After she was done with it, she said, "I downed it, but Uncle, you do it at your own pace."

Everyone stopped talking. This was an attempt to force him to down the wine, but it was just a glass of red wine, what was the worst that could happen?

Ye Shaoguang doubted the situation. What was this woman up to?

Once the wine went into his mouth, Ye Shaoguang realized something was wrong. There were chili, salt, wasabi, pepper… and other random seasonings. Ye Shaoguang was not ready for the first gulp and he drank too much of it. It was as if the taste exploded in his mouth. 

Ye Shaoguang tried to pretend that nothing was wrong, he wanted to hold it together and down it all. However, after two gulps, he could not take it anymore. The wasabi and chili went up to his nose and Ye Shaoguang started coughing hard. His face went red and he coughed to the point where tears and boogers dripped—it was unsightly. 

Yan Qingsi pretended to be worried. "Mr. Ye, are you alright? How did this happen? You're too polite, you don't need to drink it that fast, see, now you're choking on it, aren't you?"

Yan Qingsi bumped into the glass Ye Shaoguang left on the table when she scooted over. 

Clink! The glass fell on the ground and broke into pieces, the wine was spilled everywhere. 

Ye Shaoguang glared at Yan Qingsi. "The wine… You…"

Yan Qingsi pretended to be confused. "What's wrong with the wine? It seemed alright, doesn't it?"

She poured herself another glass and took a sip from it. "No, it tastes alright. Was it mixed with something else?"

Ye Shaoguang was speechless. 

His tongue was losing its senses from that dark, horrible taste. That was the worst thing Ye Shaoguang ever had in his life. This was also the most embarrassing incident of his in the past few years. 

He lost to Yan Qingsi and he did not expect Yan Qingsi to use such a shameless tactic on him as well. 

If this incident was publicized, Yan Qingsi could get away with it by branding it as a prank and he would be framed as a petty person. 

However, there was no way Ye Shaoguang would ever let this go. 

Ye Shaoguang had a weak body himself. He usually had bland and healthy food and he could not take spicy or any irritating food. Yan Qingsi's glass of wine made Ye Shaoguang nearly coughed his lungs out. 

Amidst intense coughing and spices left on his tongue, Ye Shaoguang could barely say a word at the moment.
