She straightened her nightgown and draped a small blanket over herself before walking toward the door in her slippers.

Shi Sui took off his glasses, revealing his bold brows and deep, dark eyes as he gazed at her with a smirk. 

His pajamas seemed to be oversized as the neckline was rather loose, revealing a large patch of his fair skin and clear, well-defined collarbones...

Xiang Yi subconsciously swallowed her saliva. 

She had yet to realize that her feelings for Shi Sui were different from how she felt toward her brothers...

"What brings you here at such a late hour?" Xiang Yi asked.

Shi Sui asked, "Shall we go pick Xiao Naofu up together tomorrow? It must be homesick."

Xiang Yi said, "Sure, I was planning to go tomorrow anyway... Mm..."

A bony hand was suddenly placed on her head. His movements were gentle and meticulous. "There's a feather."

"You're welcome, I'll go back to my room then."

Xiang Yi turned around and went into the room, closing the door after herself. 

She leaned against the door panel and patted her chest.

Her heart...was beating unusually quickly.

Shi Sui stood in place for a moment and chuckled softly.

Clad in a black silk pajamas, Xiang Chen stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window not far away, seemingly having become one with the darkness. 

He tightened his grip on his glass of water, as if he were a frosted cedar tree on a distant mountain. 

"I think you don't need your leg anymore." He didn't specify which leg. 

Shi Sui slowly walked toward Xiang Chen and stopped when he was a few steps in front of him. Seemingly trying to show off, he wrapped the small blanket tightly around himself. The fragrance of Xiang Yi's hair was still lingering around it. 

"Are you angry again? Brother-in-law~"

Xiang Chen was flabbergasted! 

His gaze was stern, and he questioned coldly, "What did you call me?"

Shi Sui said with an innocent expression, "Brother-in-law, can you break my leg the day after tomorrow? After all, Xiang Yi and I have to go pick up our baby tomorrow~"

Xiang Chen gritted his teeth. "Baby?"

Shi Sui chuckled. "Yes~"

Xiang Chen was so angry that he started to roll up his sleeves.

He initially thought that he could have a showdown with Shi Sui, but he didn't expect Shi Sui to call Xiang Yi confidently. 

Xiang Yi asked, "What's the matter?"

Shi Sui complained, "Xiang Yi, someone bullied me..."
