Qin Wenya's eyes were filled with rage as she stood up from the throne and shouted. 

"Guard, hold her down for smearing Bengong's name."

Anger and panic could be easily sensed from Qin Wenya's loud voice as she pointed her finger at the old nanny.

With a cold and emotionless pair of eyes, he said in his deep and cold voice that demanded no objection.

"Sit down on your seat silently."

Qin Wenya clenched her fists.  

She didn't want to sit down. She knew that if she didn't do anything to shut the mouth of the old nanny then it would cost her a lot. 

However, in front of so many people, she couldn't even deny Zhao Wang Lei's order because even then it would cost her a big thing and that would be her reputation as an Empress who dared to go against her husband who was none other than the Emperor. 

So, in the end, Qin Wenya had to sit down on her seat helplessly.  

Her lips were pressed in a thin line clearly expressing how angry she was. Her nails almost dug deep in her palm when she heard Zhao Wang Lei saying

"Everyone had the right to speak in this Imperial Court. This is where the difference between a slave and master ends. So if someone thinks that Empress did something wrong then they have the full right to point it out and reveal it in front of everyone. However…"

Zhao Wang Lei paused for a moment and then looked at everyone in the Imperial banquet hall with a fleeting glance 

"If anyone dared to slander the Empress by spouting rubbish, then the punishment would be death only. So you better have some logical explanation of whatever you are going to say."

Zhao Wang Lei finished as he moved his eyes to look at the old nanny. 

Standing a few steps away from the old nanny, Xi Ying smirked.

The old nanny immediately understood that the Emperor was also trying to protect her. She also understood what exactly he wanted her to do.

Her Majesty didn't want anything to come out so her people removed the dead body and she sent the maid out from the Imperial Palace even before Minister Xin could find anything."
