Xi Ying was not surprised when An Ping suddenly appeared at the door of Xi Ling's room. 

He put down the book he was reading and stood up from the bed where Xi Ling was sleeping. Li Rui who was also reading the book while sitting on the other side of the bed noticed him going out and when she saw An Ping, she looked silently at then for a moment before she lowered her head and continued reading …not before checking whether Xi Ling's fever was still there or not. 

It had reduced now. 

Outside the room, Xi Ying looked at An Ping who told him

"The digging had ended, Master."

"Already?"

Xi Ying said with a surprised expression on his face. 

 "Yes, Master. They found two skeletons."

Xi Ying hummed as he nodded his head. 

"Bring the old physician to the study room. His work is still remaining."

After all, who will tell why there were two skeletons in the Empress' gardens?

When Xi Ying stepped inside the room again, he walked to the bed and put his hand on Xi Ling's forehead. 

"He doesn't have fever now."

Li Rui whispered to assure him and Xi Ying sighed in relief on feeling no longer heat on touching the forehead of his son. 

Afterward, he walked to Li Rui's side and told her what An Ping had told her. 

"I need to go."

He leaned down to kiss her forehead as she continued

"I will send Liu Lan with something to eat. Have something. Then we will have dinner together." 

Li Rui nodded her head obediently. 

Xi Ying smiled lightly. 

"Don't be so cute when I need to leave."

He whispered and then suddenly leaned down to peck on her lips. 

The next moment, he finally left the room hurriedly worrying that he would not be able to stop himself if he stayed any longer. 

While LI Rui blinked as she looked at his leaving back. Slowly she came back to herself and then her cheeks turned pink. 

She tried to maintain a calm and composed expression on her face as she buried her head in the book. However, her cheeks were still pink when Liu Lan entered the room with some fruits on a plate.

Xi Ying had only a short talk with the old physician in the study room. Afterward, he left for the Imperial Palace. 

He needed to make sure that Zhao Wang Lei would not sway away from his words now that they have found the skeletons from Qin Wenya's Palace. 

In the Imperial Palace, when Eunuch Wang informed Zhao Wang Lei that Xi Ying was there to meet him, Zhao Wang Lei immediately asked him to allow Xi Ying to enter.   

He had been confused actually. 

They found two skeletons. 

Though he knew to whom the second skeleton belonged, he didn't know how he should explain it to others. So he could only ask Xi Ying for help. 

"Prime Minister Xin, come."

Zhao Wang Lei didn't even let Xi Ying greet himself and asked him to take a seat.

Xi Ying though surprised did what he said calmly. He also never liked to greet him because he had to fake politeness.

As soon Xi Ying took the seat, he came to know the reason behind Zhao Wang Lei's eagerness. 

"That second skeleton…"

"This minister knows whose that skeleton is, Your Majesty."

Xi Ying said calmly as he didn't wish to waste time anymore. He didn't want to hear any other story from Zhao Wang Lei that will be full of lies. 

Actually, he was suddenly feeling very impatient with all this.  

If it worked out his way, then Xi Ying wanted nothing but to kill the man in front of him right now and then finish all this. 

However, things were not as simple as he wanted. Zhao Wang Lei was an Emperor. Xi Ying didn't want to have a life where he would have to live in hiding with his wife and children after killing him. 

That's why he had to choose such a long way. However, now he wanted to quicken everything. 

"That will be managed by this minister, Your Majesty."

Xi Ying said indifferently and then came to the topic he had wanted to talk about. 

"This minister wanted to talk about the punishment that will be given to Her Majesty after this."

Zhao Wang Lei was relieved when Xi Ying said that the matter he had been worried about would be handled by Xi Ying but he soon understood that it was only because Xi Ying wanted something in return. 

His phoenix eyes shone with coldness. It was not that he had some kind of problem with what Xi Ying was demanding. He himself wanted to kill Qin Wenya … especially when she knew his dark secret. 

However, what he didn't like was that he had to do this because Xi Ying was asking him to do this. His help to him which should have been duty was conditional. 

If he had not agreed to complete his condition, Xi Ying would have never helped.

That was how arrogant Xi Ying was. 

And that was why he didn't like him even though he was of so much use. 

With no emotion on his face, he nodded his head and spoke 

"Of Course, it will be the way you wanted."

Xi Ying nodded his head in satisfaction and stood up to leave.

"This minister will take his leave, Your Majesty. This minister needs to make some arrangements for tomorrow."

Zhao Wang Lei nodded his head but suddenly he remembered something and asked him

"Prime Minister had been visiting Xinhe Palace frequently lately."

Xi Ying's eyes flickered. He knew where Zhao Wang Lei was trying to go to. 2

He was indirectly trying to know whether in the fight of throne, Xi Ying was going against his wish and supporting Zhao Zhang Wei. 

Even though Zhao Zhuang Chen would have a very weak presence in the Imperial Court after Qin Wenya's execution, he would never make Zhao Zhang Wei the Emperor. 

He wanted an Emperor who will be stupid and work according to how he wanted. Since Qin Wenya would not be in power now, it would be more easier to control the mindless Zhao Zhuang Chen. 

So why will he choose Zhao Zhang Wei as an Emperor?

However, when Zhao Wang Lei heard that Xi Ying was visiting Xinhe Palace frequently these days, he was suddenly doubting Xi Ying's intentions. 

Especially after what was happening to Qin Wenya. He doubted if Xi Ying was doing this to make Zhao Zhuang Chen weak in front of Zhao Zhang Wei. 

And that's why today he directly decided to ask Xi Ying what actually he was trying to do by this.
