It was obvious that it was a snake bite but no one seemed to notice the mark on her lower leg because it was covered by her pants and socks. Eugene didn't know much about snakes and didn't know if the snake that bit her was poisonous so all she did was wrap the girl's wound with her handkerchief tightly. She wrapped it tightly in case it was poisonous and to prevent it from circulating. 

Eugene glanced at the girl's friend, "I will rest with her for a while and bring her later. You go on first."

The friend's face was immediately filled with panic as she didn't want to do as Eugene said. She was scared that Eugene would bully her friend.

Eugene turned to the group and motioned for them to walk forward with her eyes, and before they reluctantly walked away Eugene warned them, "Beware of what you step on."

Her words translated to 'Do you think my words mean nothing to you?'

Eugene watched as they ran away leaving one friend who was stuck in her place glazing wearily at Eugene.

"I'll bring her soon. She just needs a bit of medical attention." Eugene sighed before explaining. 

"Is it… is it serious?"

Eugene couldn't say that it was a possibility as it would rouse panic so she shook her head,  "No. She only sprained her foot."

Of course, she thought long and hard on whether to explain that there may be snacks roaming around, but she warned them to watch their steps so she could only hope that they would be careful. 

The friend glanced at her friend kneeling down in pain and crying before turning back to Eugene. She hesitated for a bit before nodding, "Please take care of my friend." She grabbed her friend's stuff and bid goodbye before leaving.

Eugene nodded in return before lifting the girl in a princess style to the girl and everyone passing by them in horror. The shock from Eugene carrying her in a very embarrassing pose surpassed all the pain on her leg as her eyes suctioned her tears back up.

"I… M… Miss Eugeneia?" The girl stuttered as she stared at Eugene. 

Eugene saw the weirdly excited look on the girl's face and she immediately scolded with a strict demeanor, "Don't get excited, lest poison spread around your body."

The girl blinked when her eyes widened, "P, poison?!" She half screamed. 

"Shh." Eugene hushed her as she brought the girl to sit on a big boulder. She glanced at the girl's foot again which did not appear to be rotting. Of course, this did not mean that she was going to put her guard down. 

"Am… Am I going to die?!" The girl's voice was raised and immediately tears began to flow down her eyes again.

Eugene lightly rolled her eyes at the girl's frightened look and chuckled. The girl reminded her of a ditz as she was un-noble-like with all the emotions that she has shown in the past 5 minutes. 

"Why, Why are you laughing? It's not funny -Huk-" The girl cried loudly as she wiped her tears with her dirty palms. 

'...' How could she not laugh? Look at what her face has become with dirt all over her face. 

Eugene tried her best to hold in her laugh as she tried to reassure the girl, "D… don't worry, you won't die." 

"But you brought me away from people. Without people to help, how will I... I survive?" There was no noble temperament in the girl's words and emotions as she voiced her inner thoughts. 

Eugene shook her head and replied with a helpless voice, "I have an antidote." The girl of course did not hear Eugene's words and kept on crying. Who knows what happened when the girl stopped crying five minutes later. 

"A… antidote?" The girl sniffed and brought her hands down. Eugene's words registered in her mind later.

What appeared in Eugene's eyes was a girl with a completely reddened face, her eyes all over the place looking for Eugene's confirmation. 

"Yes." Eugene nodded, "Please just close your eyes and part your lips slightly." Eugene replied with a slight laugh when all of a sudden the girl's face became even redder. 

'Wha… Wha… what?'

Of course, the reason why the girl's face became even redder was because of Eugene's words. Her words were something that she had read in a romantic novel she acquired recently. 

In this particular scene, the man pushed the female against the wall and said the same things Eugene said just now which were, 

"Close your eyes and part your slips slightly." The female lead of course did exactly as what the male lead said but little did she know, her lips would become as puff as a puffer fish 10 minutes later. 

Of course, she felt completely awkward as she 'knew' exactly what Eugene 'wanted' to do. The reason why Eugene carried her to an abandoned place must be because she wanted to take advantage of her! But but but! She was a female! How… How is it possible to be together with a female!

This was when she remembered that in Zene, same-sex love and marriage were legalized. They were neighbors hence … it wouldn't be too strange!

Just as the girl was deep in her thoughts Eugene scooted closer causing the girl to hide half of her face behind her palm. Not only was she red, but she was also redder than tomatoes. At this moment the wind seemed to drift over, allowing the girl to smell the jasmine scent off of Eugene's body. She couldn't help but glance shyly at Eugene to which her eyes slightly widened. 

'B… beautiful.'

Eugene's grey hair sparkled under the sun as her hair moved charmingly along with the wind. 

"Close your eyes."

"O… okay…" Eugene was too beautiful to reject, hence the girl responded and closed her eyes. 

Eugene raised a brow confused at the girl as she did not know what went through the girl's head. The girl reminded her of a rabbit, fearful of being eaten and Eugene did not know what to think about that.

"Keep it closed.." Eugene mumbled and watched as the girl's lid shook. 

She waited two seconds before taking out her dagger from her jacket pocket and poking her finger with it. 

'Extract poison, heal.' Eugene wished before placing her finger against the girl's lips. Her finger touched the lips of the girl who slightly flinched. Eugene waited a while to allow her blood to enter the girl's system before pulling her finger away. 

At the same moment she put her finger away, the girl's eyes slowly opened and the girl's next expression shocked Eugene so much that she stood up, her hands shivering. It was a look of complete innocence mixed in with some shy embarrassment.
