I followed Jing Tian up the stairs dejectedly. But as soon as we reached the study room, I hugged his waist from behind, and pressed my face into his back. "I miss you so much."2

Jing Tian's body stiffened for a moment before he placed his hands on mine. Then he pulled my hands away and turned around. I leaned into his chest and nuzzled in his embrace.

"Alright, be good now." He rubbed my head gently. I let go of him reluctantly. "I miss you daily, do you miss me?" He turned his head away from my warm gaze but I did capture a smile dancing in his eyes. To be frank, even with the knowledge from my previous life, I couldn't believe this outstanding man only had me in his heart.

I couldn't help myself and ask, "Jing Tian, I hear from Gu Yan that you only took me on as your student because you needed me to practice your teaching skills. She also told me that I shouldn't be mad at you for your strictness because you only want the best for me. Does she not sound like your wife?" 

Jing Tian turned his head away and smiled. I was not going to let him escape so easily. I jumped to face him and stare at him. Jing Tian stopped smiling, he put his hand on my head and said gently, "Nanxing, you need to prepare for the exam. But I promise you that I will wait for you."

My heart was doing a somersault. I jumped to hug him. "Jing Tian, I love you! I will only love you for the rest of my life!" Jing Tian's hand patted me gently on my back.

"Jing Tian, what are you doing? Let her go now!" Then I was forcibly yanked off Jing Tian. Who could this be but my little uncle. I turned and saw him glare at Jing Tian. "Have you forgotten what you promised me?" He demanded. 

Jing Tian lowered his head and ignored him. I turned around and launched a hug attack on my little uncle. "Little uncle, you're not allowed to scold him!"

Then there was a pull on the back of my collar. I yelped as I was pulled away from my little uncle. This time the culprit was Jing Tian. "Nanxing, go and do your homework." His voice was still gentle but I could tell that he didn't want me to hug another man in his presence. Jing Tian is always so cute with his well-hidden jealousy.

I ran out the door with a smile. But I took a quick brake at the door. I turned back to ask my uncle. "They have left? All of them?" My little uncle shrugged. I gave him a thumbs up. "Little uncle, you're amazing! I can't even figure out a way to chase those hens away!"

"Enough with the flattery, go do your homework!" My little uncle ordered with a chuckle.

My little uncle locked the door to the study so I couldn't stay with them. I took my homework to the living room and sat there so that Jing Tian would have to pass me when he left. However, whenever I finished 2 questions, I would lift my head to look up the stairs. I was worried that Jing Tian would leave without telling me. In the end, Su Qian had to walk over and press my head towards the papers. "Young Miss, please focus on your homework. I promise you that when Master Qi comes down, I will notify you. I will do everything I can so that you'll be able to see him before he leaves." 

I chuckled with embarrassment.

Su Shen pursed her lips and smiled. "Young Miss, you're worried for nothing. Sister Li is already cooking up a storm in the kitchen. That means that Master Qi will definitely be staying for dinner. Master Si is not as cruel as you think, his heart is softer than his words."

Su Qian smiled. "Well, can you blame Master Si of being protective of the young miss?"

I blushed and quickly changed the topic. "By the way, have you heard from Brother Hu and his friends?"

Su Shen and Su Qian looked at each other and smiled. "Young Miss, you don't need to worry about them. I just saw them training under Gao Da and Gao Jing recently. The four of them have undergone a great transformation. They care deeply about you, young miss but they don't dare to come disturb your study. You'll see them after you finish your exam." 

I was delighted when I thought about the fact that Jing Tian would be staying for dinner. I started to take trips to the kitchen to oversee the progress. Su Shen and Su Qian shook their heads and sighed, "Perhaps Master Qi shouldn't come too often. Master Si is right, it'll affect your studies too much." 

I huffed and ignored them. I knew my little uncle, Jing Tian and everyone only wanted the best for me. However, I couldn't help the pain of lovesickness!
