I coughed lightly. "Apologies, but I've removed the pictures from the darknet."0

Jing Ni rolled her eyes. "Nanxing, you're a real busybody, do you know that?"

I shut my mouth.

The leader flew into a rage. "Wretched girl, you must be tired of living already!"

Jing Ni raised her chin provocatively, "You're right. I've lived a long enough life. But I won't die to the likes of you!"

Finally, the masked man stopped wasting time on words. He waved his hands. "Kill them all!"

Jing Ni cut the rope around my wrist. She nudged Mai Qi away and stood beside me. "It's a life and death situation, Nanxing!"

My blood was already boiling when I saw Ol' Eight bleeding. The men heightened my desire to kill. When someone rushed over, my hand closed around a butcher knife left on the chopping block.

Mai Qi's scream rang in my ears. My instinct had me stand before her so the men wouldn't have the chance to hurt her.

I watched Jing Ni stab the dagger into one of the men's stomachs without hesitation. At that moment, another man kicked her in the back.

I rushed over and cut the man who kicked Jing Ni. Then I pulled out the butcher knife and slid it towards Jing Ni. The dagger is too short and unwieldy, the butcher's knife is better. I thought to myself, but my mouth couldn't form the words. 

That was because an iron rod was swinging at my head. My hand reached to grab the rod. I raised my leg and kicked him back, and swung the rod heavily. I couldn't tell who I had hit, but the muffled sound of the rod connecting with flesh excited me.

Someone knocked into the water pipe, and it loosened. Water splattered everywhere. No one was spared. The water diluted the blood, but it couldn't wash away the smell.

In that situation, when my primitive side took over and adrenaline combined with dopamine, I could feel no pain.

More people collapsed to the ground. The masked men started to retreat, but I was only just starting to have fun. If they had installed surveillance cameras, the videos captured would be quite interesting. 

Jing Ni and I moved forward in a fan shape. She held a long butcher knife while I gripped a black iron rod.

While we advanced, we kept our bodies slightly titled. This was because Mai Qi was still behind us. She held a knife too. She was trembling, but she didn't back down.

The leader was in a not-so-favorable state. As he backed off, he hissed, "Nanxing! We originally wanted to give Jing Tian and Tong Le face, but that's out the window now. You'll have to die!"

My eyes were fixed on the bloody knife in his hand. It was either my blood or Jing Ni's blood!

At that moment, I lost the ability to speak. What he said was a meaningless jumble to me.

Mai Qi suddenly piped up from behind. "If I die here, I wonder if my brother will avenge me."

Mai Qi nodded. "Well, you're right. I've never been in something so exciting before. It's all worth it."
