Xirong Ziye clutched the photo, laughing miserably as he mulled over such thoughts.

After a while, he placed a hand over his chest and took in deep breaths. He muttered, "Yaoyao, Yaoyao…" He didn't know what he wanted to say, but he just felt like calling her name over and over again. It was as though Bai Yaoyao could hear it if he called her like that.

Ever since Bai Yaoyao left the White House, none of his subordinates was able to hear from her. It seemed like she had vanished into thin air. He couldn't believe it back then, but after seeing this photo, he realized that there must be a powerful force protecting Bai Yaoyao, even a system isolating her from the rest of the world. That was why he couldn't locate her at all.

At that moment, Xiamu Qingyan came out searching for Xirong Ziye, who hadn't returned in a long time. She saw him outside the men's washroom and was about to approach him happily. However, judging from his stance, she thought that something was amiss.

Hearing Xiamu Qingyan's voice from behind, Xirong Ziye immediately snapped out of his shock. He stuffed the photo into his pocket and turned around. He asked coolly, "Why are you here?"

Xirong Ziye's voice obviously sounded distant and cold, unlike his usual gentle tone. Xiamu Qingyan felt uncomfortable but still smiled. She lowered her head and whined, "You're not back after such a long time. I was worried about you, so I came to look for you."

Xiamu Qingyan's face looked pure as it was illuminated by the sun's rays. She appeared gentle and warm, but Xirong Ziye felt awkward. She looked so similar to his first love, but he couldn't feel the same way towards her at all. He even felt confused, as though the person in front of him was Bai Yaoyao.

All of a sudden, Xirong Ziye hugged Xiamu Qingyan in a tight embrace.

Xiamu Qingyan smiled proudly. She knew that her pretty face was effective in seducing him. She hugged him back, wrapping her arms around his waist, and asked, "Ziye? Ziye, what's wrong?"
