Bai Yaoyao smiled upon receiving Duan Yanhao's approval.1

Duan Yanhao walked over and intertwined his fingers around hers. "Let's go down and eat."

Bai Yaoyao looked at their interlocked fingers and felt a sense of security wash over her.

When she raised her head to look at the clock on the wall, she realized that it was already eight in the morning. Had she been sleeping here since yesterday afternoon after she fell asleep in the car?

When Duan Yanhao and Bai Yaoyao went down, Old Master Duan and Duan Xinya were already in the living room.

Duan Xinya smiled in response when she saw both of them. "You must be hungry. The meal has already been prepared. Let's eat."

Duan Xinya's friendliness made Bai Yaoyao feel at ease.

Old Master Duan smiled delightedly at the pair.

Duan Yanhao brought Bai Yaoyao to the side of the table and said to her, "Greet them, Grandfather and Sixth Aunt."

Bai Yaoyao sat down obediently. She didn't expect to only see Old Master Duan and Duan Xinya. The rest of Duan Yanhao's family were not here.

As if sensing Bai Yaoyao's confusion, Old Master Duan said, "Doll, we're a family. If you have anything to say, you can just discuss it with me or your Sixth Aunt. You can pretend that the others don't exist."

Although Bai Yaoyao did not know of the relationship of the people here, hearing Old Master Duan's words, she understood that Old Master Duan adored his grandson.

The whole family ate harmoniously. Duan Yanhao placed some dishes into Bai Yaoyao's bowl from time to time like they did on usual days.

Initially, Bai Yaoyao was a little shy about it and kicked Duan Yanhao lightly under the table, but Duan Yanhao pretended that nothing was wrong and continued what he was doing.

Old Master Duan and Duan Xinya did not make any comments and looked rather happy about it.

The only thing she did not know was when the other people would start appearing.
