[Bonus chapter] Xiumin

Xiumin returns to her private room in the restaurant, idly flicking through her phone's photos. By the end of tonight, she would have gotten her long-awaited revenge on the Sun family, and it would be sweet. She wouldn't need to wear this false name 'Xiumin' any longer. 1

She would be Sun Jingwei's lawfully-wedded wife, whether he wanted it or not.

"Sun Jingwei… enjoy your dinner darling, you're not going to be eating well for a long, long time," she hums idly to herself. If anyone stumbled on her, they'd run in the opposite direction.

There was no way anyone sane would be humming so peacefully with a deranged look in her eyes.

Xiumin's darling hadn't managed to catch up with him on the road, but the footage of Sun Jingwei's reckless driving was now available for the world to admire, as soon as her Boss deems it the right time to release it. She would have blasted it across all social media platforms immediately, but her Boss scolded her for her impatience, claiming that this wasn't the right time.

So she swallowed her tongue and nodded obediently in agreement. Besides, the video wasn't going to be important if she - when she sinks her claws into him tonight. There would be a host of other more incriminating ones.

Once that pesky bartender gets burnt by the soup, Sun Jingwei would be left alone and unguarded for her to do as she pleased. Sure, she was only a woman, but knowing Sun Jingwei's reputation with women, public opinion would finally be on her side for a change, unlike before! This would be divine justice!

Xiumin had thought that this plan wasn't going to come to fruition when his red Ferrari vanished on the road, but a little bird had helpfully tipped her off to where he was headed.

Her Boss really was incredible, to have such a wide network of influence that he was immediately able to figure out the restaurant Sun Jingwei was going to reserve for dinner, as well as to get her a room booked right next to him.

She vows to not let him down. Her Boss was the only one that reached out a helping hand, when everyone was blaming her for the misfortunes that befell her.

It was that cursed Sun Jingwei's fault! Xiumin was a beautiful, talented young woman with the world at her fingertips. She had every intention of worming herself into the Sun family's inner circle, and it should have been so easy to catch the eye of resident playboy Sun Jingwei and make him hers for good.

She gave him everything, using every depraved trick she learnt to please a man, but he still left her after that one night!

And to make matters worse, out of all of Sun Jingwei's scandals to hit the news, it had to be the news of their one night stand!

It didn't matter to Sun Jingwei. For a man like him, it was just one wild night in the string of a whole host of wild nights, and his reputation as a resident playboy could not have sunk any lower, but to Xiumin, the news was a death knell!

In the beginning, no one could tell the woman in the video was her. She could pretend to gossip like everyone else about the mysterious slutty woman in his bed. The video was blurry enough.

Then someone managed to miraculously sharpen the video and actually identify her through her numerous pictures on social media!

Her life was effectively over from that day on. Her family was full of social climbers and they were shocked at her promiscuous behaviour. To save their reputation, they easily threw her away like yesterday's trash. Friends distanced themselves, and male acquaintances who knew her shot her lascivious looks, eyes hungry with lust.

Alone and penniless and desperate with her reputation in tatters, she had no ways of getting legitimate employment. Sun Jingwei, that bastard, didn't even reach out to her to make amends! He simply continued on with his hedonistic lifestyle.

What could she do, but become a professional escort for men that loved the acts they saw in the video?

Every night, she pasted a smile and let herself be pawed by lecherous men to make ends meet, until her Boss rescued her from such a life. He reassured her that the blame lay with Sun Jingwei, for even daring to record such things in the first place!

("My dear Xiumin, how could you have known he was such a pervert to hide cameras from you? Clearly he was out to ruin you from the very start!")

Of course he wouldn't care about how it affected her, someone like him wouldn't care about things affected people that weren't himself. He was selfish like that. She should take revenge on him for how her life had turned out.

After a few long painful years of biding her time, she can now finally take part in her Boss' scheme for revenge!

"Is Xiumin gone?" A smooth, masculine voice asked.

"Yes," another man replied. "She is very intent on harming Sun Jingwei tonight."

"She's impatient," the first voice said, disapproval clearly present in his voice. "But then again, I supposed it's my fault. I knew that when I brought her in, didn't I?"

"It's not your fault, Sir. She should still be more careful," The second man argues respectfully, taking a cautious look at his Boss. His Boss had a mood as unpredictable as the weather, and only his second-in-command could deal with it.

Everyone else around him walked on eggshells constantly.

Xiumin was one of them too, but recently she had become more daring, more careless. It was giving them extra unneeded trouble. He frowns as he thinks of Xiumin's behaviour.

Xiumin could have been another unremarkable notch on Sun Jingwei's bedpost, but his Boss managed to identify the woman in the video and blew up the matter to the point where both parties were getting slammed by every media outlet in the country.

If he didn't know better, he would think his boss had planted that camera and purposely pushed Xiumin to a corner, just so that he could offer her a way out.

But that sounded too ridiculous to believe. Even if his boss wasn't a normal man, it didn't mean that he was such a scumbag to do that right? That would make him worse than Sun Jingwei!

"You are such a sweet-talker," His Boss comments, half-amused, before his voice lost his good humour.

"Tail her. Knowing her attitude, she'll get sloppy and I don't want any more mistakes. The club was already a big misstep." His Boss closes his eyes and sighs, rubbing his nose bridge. "Clean up all her messes."

"Yes Sir," the owner of the second voice sank into a low bow. "I understand perfectly."
