When Kyler was getting the hang of living alone and taking care of everything after the fifth month of running away, the person he had tried to ignore up until now suddenly fell out of the sky, literally.

He was taking his one week of vacation to finally meet one of the people who knew his father Aurel's past, which took him a lot of time and effort to do. And just happened to be in a forested area, and away from civilization.

When the person who causes Kyler's emotions and thoughts in a jumble suddenly appeared in the sky, there was the telltale sign of a powerful teleportation spell from a witch, before roughly landing a distance away from where he was standing.

And no matter how complicated and chaotic Kyler's thoughts and emotions had been his body was already moving with his heart frantically beating with unknown fear when it was quite obvious how severe the injuries of the young man were even when he was this far away.

The spurt of blood made Kyler's eyes constrict with terror, at the same time, he never felt his heart twisting in pain when the thought of the person he had grown up with was going to die.

No! Brother Xaver, don't die!

It took such a reality for Kyler to finally figure out how important the young man is in his life as he rushed over with tears brimming in his eyes at the unconscious figure on the ground.

Ah… I'm so sorry! Please… Please don't leave me! Brother Xaver!

Unknown to Kyler, it was just the start of everything in his life turning into chaos and how much the sudden change in their era is going to affect him. Because it was the era when the different races would be known to the entire world.

The Era of the Races hidden in the dark is coming to an end.

While the entire world was introduced to the different races that had been living with them by a secret organization, the mythical community's focus was on the event that led to the entire situation.

The Demon Lord and the Dragon Lord declared war with each other last month and had set up a deadline for a showdown were suddenly attacked amidst their fighting by an unknown force, which then began to reveal the various races that had been a secret to the normal people after the Two well-known Lords' location became unknown after being transported.

As time goes by, everything is bound to change, and there are always people bound to resist it. Particularly when it concerns the power structure that would cause the rise and fall of various organizations.

And with Kyler's family being the top power they are bound to be targeted as the remaining Pure Blood Vampire suddenly decided to have their hierarchy reign. After all, if the demon races scattered in the past suddenly unite, then the noble and prideful pureblood vampires can also do it.

Especially after one of their own was greatly affected in the famous war in the past, leading their reputation, authority and power to have been greatly damaged and also threatened. The Pure Blood Vampire needed to do something about the changes in their eras, particularly when it was quite obvious that something big is going to happen in the future.

The Elf race had become extinct, the mermaid race had also disappeared, and now the last pureblood dragon and two Siren races are the last ones of their people. It was quite obvious that the races with pure blood are disappearing from the world.

And the Pure Blood Vampires with great pride in their own bloodline couldn't accept such a fact. Especially when they imagine the human race would start receiving the extinct race's blessing in the future if they also disappeared.

Thus, the Great Prince of the remaining Pure Blood Vampires had schemes and plots in the dark, which they decided to also ally themselves with the government who knows about the races but doesn't have the power to control and maintain them.

So, it is quite obvious which people they targeted. With the highest family in power, the Heinrichs, having three of the last remaining pureblood races in their family. Along with the most powerful witch and the Demon Lord.

Despite knowing how dangerous and powerful they are, desperate people will struggle to fight the change, especially when it's quite obvious that it's related to their entire race's extinction. Particularly when the government had information relating to the extremely important existence of the 'Water of Life'.

Added with the information left behind by the pureblood vampire Gisil, then they made their move based on assumption. Everyone is desperate, the government in the higher up is also greedy and ambitious, thus, the entire Heinrich family being targeted is something that is bound to happen.

And there are also those families that had been pushed down and suppressed after the Heinrich Family reached the top, so, it wasn't surprising when they didn't hesitate to make the attack when they got a lot of allies to deal with the Heinrich Family.

Claus Heinrich, the head of the Heinrich Family location had become unknown similar to the Demon Lord and Dragon Lord situation. The well-known powerful male witch and his lover could only stay in one of their private and well-protective lands, while the Demon Lord's forces had suddenly started fighting each other.

Especially when there is an increase of the human races being blessed by the powerful existence in the world based on the races they favored. Particularly the fact that despite the dragon and siren race still live, when some few human races had also received a similar blessing.

Hell, there is even the appearance of a blessed human with vampire blood. In which the entire Vampire race took as a warning that they would also soon disappear from the world.

Of course, it was not because of nature itself; it was because they have been hunted down by the Siren Aurel, causing their numbers to decrease instead of increasing, by their dream of using the water of life to allow their race to easily produce a pureblood.

Something, Snow had snorted to after he learned of one of their plans if they ever get their hands on his lover's water of life.

As for the Pure Blood Vampire's greatest ally, the government, well, one year is a lot of time for the situation to change. Just as the entire world is changing, the entire government structure is also changing in order to fit in the incoming new era.

Which was what the Demon Lord Flake had been doing in the dark, as for the infighting of some of the demon races he led, well, it was also part of his plan to make a quick clean up on his side. After all, there are bound to be people with hidden ambition, especially when they seemed to scoff at his young appearance.

"Kyler, welcome back."

"... Brother Xaver, I'm back."

Kyler sweetly smiles after being greeted by Xaver. It had been a year since the time where he panicked after the appearance of an extremely injured Xaver falling in the sky. Of course, even after all this year, Xaver's memories of him had never returned.

One year of staying together changed a lot of things between them. At least, Kyler had begun to appreciate the young man's presence, especially when he was finally brave enough to face what caused him to run away in the first place. 

"Wait a bit, and I'm almost done with dinner. Hm? Wasn't your friend coming tonight?"

"Ah, Emily got a call from her boyfriend. It seemed to be something important."

Emily… The person who helped Kyler accept his feelings. Although they have been a rival in love, but, Emily had been mature and far more understanding than him.

Flake had once told Kyler that it seemed that Emily's action of giving up and choosing to help him instead of being unreasonable and fighting for Xaver to the death despite how he would not reciprocate her feelings had broken some sort of Karma between their races. 

At least, in the future, the human who will receive the blessing of mermaid and siren blood wouldn't have to carry the bloodbath because of their race's past against each other.

"Oh, the extremely clingy boyfriend, who is blessed with vampire blood, huh."

And wasn't that a surprise? It felt like fate after Kyler learned the whole history of his Father Aurel's past with the mermaid race from his Xaver instead of the person he was supposed to meet before.

Speaking of Kyler's father, the alert notification he received on his phone while on his way home flashed in his mind.

"Where is Brother Flake?"

Kyler wasn't surprised by the darkening expression on Xaver's face after asking about the whereabouts of his Brother Flake, who happens to be living together with them.

In which started, just a week after taking care of the injured Xaver when his older brother Flake suddenly appeared with fewer injuries than the news believed it to be.

Well, who would be happy to learn that the unbelievable showdown Kyler was still in disbelief of being clueless about, was used to lure and tempt the unknown force that had been wanting to target their family all along?

Even after a year of that fateful day that caused the entire world to go into chaos, Xaver is still angry about it. However, Flake didn't care about what Xaver felt at all.

"He and my Uncle Claus are talking on the phone and have been discussing their takeover of the government a while ago."

Xaver gritted his teeth while Kyler just smiled helplessly. Just after a year, he saw and experienced many unbelievable situations regarding his family. Especially of how sly and scheming they have been, particularly how courageous and crazy they really are.

Most of the people in the entire world still don't know about what is really going on, particularly the fact that the missing or unknown situation of the people that they thought had been having a hard time after the sudden attacks had been all right all along.

Kyler hides another smile on his face while secretly watching as the usual indifferent and cold Xaver that people know him for began to sulk, something he has never seen before. Xaver had always been a responsible, mature, and thoughtful older brother figure in his eyes before.

This childish, relaxed, and naïve side of Xaver is something Kyler cherished and adored.

The only problem Kyler is facing is the fact that even after getting close with each other in a year, he doesn't see Xaver showing signs of liking him. So, he was having a hard time deciding if he should confess his feelings, especially when their relationship as close friends is so great.1

But, he wanted to be more than that. It was quite funny how different he had been in the past. Here he was, wanting to get together with Xaver when he ran away in the past.

Unknown to Kyler, Flake who just opened the door of his room and was able to easily guess what was going on in his younger brother's mind couldn't help but roll his eyes. Everything they needed to handle and cleanup is going to be over soon, and his younger brother's relationship with the young dragon didn't even progress besides friendship.

Well, Flake should probably start helping out from here on out. A few more years and they would soon leave the mission world.

With the hidden problem that would cause Kyler countless trouble and danger to his life was greatly taken care of if.

It's time to let my younger brother take a tight hold of his golden thigh~
