"Based on what I know, there are no families in the City of Billow that is as prominent as the Fu family. Why would your mom be okay with her as the daughter-in-law?"

Fu Xiuyu didn't expect Qiao Qing to talk about his mother like that.

He paused, "The City of Billow is just her hometown. Her mother is a famous professor at Y University. Her father has a public company in country Y. The size of which isn't any smaller than the Fu Corporation. It is because of those things my mom agreed." 

Qiao Qing made an "oh?" sound. "If her parents are so successful in country Y, why would she be attending a domestic university?"

Fu Xiuyu, "Shiqiong says she likes it here. And this place fuels her creativity."

Qiao Qing nodded and asked again, "Who's her mom? What kind of professor is she? What's her dad's name? What's the name of his company?"

Fu Xiuyu listened to this and was confused. 

Qiao Qing, "Even if you don't tell me, I'll find out. Just know that you won't be hearing whatever you want to know from me."

Fu Xiuyu answered as is, "Her mother is Ms. Rareo. She's a psychology professor at the University of London. Her Chinese name is Sheng Cailian. Her father is the CEO of GR Corporation, Yi Feili."

His words made Qiao Qing spit out her coffee.

Fu Xiuyu was shocked, "What's wrong?"

Qiao Qing took a napkin and wiped her mouth. She rarely loses composure. This whole thing was just too funny.

Mrs. Sheng has four sons. She's gone nuts before over wanting a daughter. If she had Yi Shiqiong as her daughter, how would she not know?

Also Yi Feili. Does that guy know he has a daughter who's 2 years younger than him?

As she thought about it, she asked Fu Xiuyu with difficulty, "Have you met her parents?"

Fu Xiuyu said, "Shiqiong has shown us their photos. But they're far too busy with work. Shiqiong did say that they will attend the engagement banquet."

Qiao Qing immediately realized why even after what happened yesterday, Mrs. Fu still wanted the banquet to happen today.

She got up, "Anything else? If not I'm going to get food."

Fu Xiuyu frowned, "You didn't tell me anything about Lin Xiyan."

After lunch, Lin Xiyan returned to school from work. When she got back, she saw Qiao Qing waiting for her at her dorm.

Her eyes brightened and she ran over, "Qingqing!"

Qiao Qing caught the flying girl and immediately got to the point, "Your brother's getting engaged tonight."

Lin Xiyan, "..."

Seeing how her girly smile was wiped off immediately, Qiao Qing sighed, "He came to find me today - to ask about you."

Lin Xiyan looked nervous, "Did you tell him?"

Qiao Qing answered, "I think, if you want to tell him, it'd be best for him to recall his own memory. Of course, I can't make that decision. The choice is yours."

Lin Xiyan said blankly, "His memory can be restored?"

Qiao Qing nodded, "Someone replaced his memory. As long as it's not memory loss due to physical trauma, I have ways to restore it. Now, it's up to you to decide if you want him to remember."
