Qi Chengyu could feel the girl in his arms shiver. He found this to be strange, "Tiantian, what's wrong?"1

"I'm just so saddened by all this." Chu Tian escaped Qi Chengyu's embrace and said sourly, "I was already mentally prepared to feel out of place before coming here. It was because of the grandparents, and the brothers' warm gestures that made me put my guard down. However, it looks like in the end, it's only a dream to think that everyone in this family would accept me."

The Qi family's heart ached.

"Please, child, don't be angry. Though he's the man of the house, he has no say regarding your place in the family. Don't worry, grandma will stand by you. Okay?"

Chu Tian had no time to act happy towards her words because the guests at the scene suddenly shouted out, "What's that?"

Chu Tian turned her head and instantly widened her eyes in disbelief. 

The giant screen in the greeting hall had turned on. The first scene that came up had a white backdrop - it was the inside of a hospital private room!

Qi Chengyu noticed Chu Tian's reaction and he frowned slightly. Then, he went to hold onto her quivering body, "Tiantian?"

Chu Tian snapped around and grasped onto his hands instead, "Hurry, fifth brother, tell them to shut this down! Don't play this!"

Qi Chengyu's eyes flashed with suspicion. He didn't listen to her and instead, focused on the video.

The video clearly showed that this was a surveillance video. The slight shake of the video showed that the video wasn't set in place.

The video showed an elderly man on a hospital bed. Chu Tian stood right by his bedside.

Though most people here didn't recognize Chu Tian's grandpa, Chu Tian's positioning made it easy to guess what her relationship was with the man in the hospital bed.

When Qi Shengkuan saw his now passed away comrade, his eyes got damp.

The elderly handed his war medal to Chu Tian and said meaningfully, "Tiantian, I don't know if I can make it through this surgery. Your parents passed away early and there is nobody else you can call family."

"If I don't make it, go to the Capital City and find the Qi family. The grandpa of the family is named Qi Shengkuan. Hand him this medal and he will know what it is about. We used to fight in the war together and we are very close friends. He cares about his friends and he will take care of you on my behalf."

Chu Tian took over the medal and blankly nodded.

After the video was done. Everyone started to discuss, "What… there's nothing to it?"

"Everyone knew about that? How else did that girl know to come here to find the Qi family?"

"How does that make her a murderer?"

Just as everyone started to get heated, the screen flashed and a new video started to play. 

It was the same hospital room. However, this time, other than the grandpa and the granddaughter, there were also many medical staff.

When Chu Tian saw this video, she became delirious, dashed to the screen, and tried to destroy it.

Qi Yusen shouted, "Stop her!"

His subordinates hurriedly went up and stopped Chu Tian.

Chu Tian struggled and screamed, "Turn it off! Turn it off now!"

Her reaction caused the entire Qi family to look at her differently.

Everyone else at the scene remembered what Qi Yusen had said and could already guess what was about to happen.
