She simply threw out her rocks into the sky in one go. All the rocks she had in hand went in different directions. Nobody could see clearly but everyone could hear the sound of rocks hitting birds in the sky. 

Before long, it started to rain pigeons. A group of pigeons fell from the sky and pitter-pattered down onto the ground.
