Seeing this, Xia Houshang's subordinate dashed to his master, who was kneeling in front of her father's casket, "Miss, Qiao Qing is here."

Jiang Che froze while Xia Houshang was ecstatic, "Why aren't you ordering people to restrain her?!"

The subordinate knelt down, "Qiao Qing came with Duke Quan."

"What did you say?!" Yin Lei, who was standing on the side, was more than alarmed, "Quan Zexi?!"

How strange. She thought Quan Zexi captured her and therefore, she should be under restrains. 

If that wasn't the case, why would these two unrelated people show up together?

As she pondered this, Qiao Qing and the others came into her view. 

The cold look on Qiao Qing's face intensified the hatred Xia Houshang felt. With no time to think it through, she shouted, "Get her here!"

Her people were about to act when Quan Zexi shouted at them to stop, "Wait a minute!"

Everyone watching froze and soon started to mumble.

"Why's the Duke helping Qiao Qing?"

"I don't know. I thought he caught her and brought her over."

"She's not acting like a captured prisoner."

"Let's observe first."

Xia Houshang was very much confused, "Duke Quan, what's the meaning of this? My father's corpse is right here! You want to protect the person who did this?!"

Quan Zexi's face was hidden under his mask. His eyes alone, however, showed much coldness. 

"How do you know Qiao Qing killed your father? Where's the evidence?"

The crowds froze. Some people started to think this through.

"Am I the only person questioning the relationship between Qiao Qing and Duke Quan? It's obvious that he's here to support her!"

The conversations around Xia Houshang made her a little worried.

She did her best to control her facial expression as she refused to back down. Then, she said, "Who else could it be if not her? Recently, only Qiao Qing managed to make enemies with my family. She's also the only person who is capable of sneaking into my home to kill my father!"
