A Beating

He turned towards the stupid-looking tiger and called out, "Qingqing."0

Qingqing the tiger heard someone calling for her. Though the voice was unfamiliar, that guy was with her master, so she dashed over while swagging her tail. She then sat right in front of Qi Yusen and tilted her head, as if she asked, "What can I do for you?"

Jun Yexuan felt a storm brewing and thought it was over for him. 

He looked over to Qiao Qing for help. Qiao Qing, however, acted like she didn't see any of this and looked away. 

 Jun Yexuan's heart started to get cold. Before he could do anything, Qi Yusen's deathly stare reached him. 

"You named a tiger Qingqing?"

Jun Yexuan silently cursed Jun Xiaoqi and wanted very much to chop this tiger into pieces. 

He gulped and answered the question, "Brother, 'Qing' as in 'green'."

Qi Yusen snorted.

Just then, Quan Zexi and He Wanqing walked over, "You guys sure are spending a lot of time greeting each other. It's time to eat. Wait, huh? Why's there a tiger here?"

Only then did He Wanqing catch sight of Qingqing. She screamed loudly and hid behind Quan Zexi."

Quan Zexi grabbed her hands, "Don't be afraid. Everyone's here, which means this tiger is one of theirs."

Only then did He Wanqing poke out her head carefully. 

Quan Yexi continued, "How come nobody's speaking up? Whose tiger is this?"

Qingqing grumbled and walked up to Jun Yexuan and rubbed her head against his legs - as if trying to show off her master. 

Quan Yexi was very much surprised but there was some admiration in his eyes, "You have a rather feminine appearance. I am shocked that you have taste when it comes to getting a pet. Not bad. Finally, you are showing off some masculinity."

Jun Yexuan, "..."

So was this guy trying to compliment him or throw him shade?

Before he could say anything, Qi Yusen said, "Uncle, he named this tiger Qingqing."

Jun Yexuan, "..."

Was there another man more detestable than his brother-in-law?

A tattletale at the age of 30?! How shameless!

Despite this, Qi Yusen looked right into Jun Yexuan's eyes without fear. He was also not showing any sign of being embarrassed. 

Qi Yusen's message froze Quan Zexi's smile, "What did you say?"

Jun Yexuan explained, "Dad, 'Qing' as in 'green'."

Quan Zexi nodded then rolled up his sleeves, "You dare to compare my daughter to a female tiger?!"

Mu Jinghang silently thought how beast the uncle was. He managed to tell the gender of the tiger just by looking?

Jun Yexuan was flustered, "Dad, you're misunderstanding me. I have no such intention. I named her Qingqing because I really missed Qingqing the first time I was away from her. That's the only reason why I decided to name my pet Qingqing. Ah! Dad! Don't beat me so hard!"

Jun Yexuan defended himself while he shrieked in pain. However, he didn't dare to fight back. 

Qingqing saw that Quan Zexi was hitting her master so she growled and jumped over to bite Quan Zexi. 

However, Jun Yexuan scolded her and she instantly put her tail between her legs and went to sit by the wall. 

Quan Zexi was obviously joking as he playfully hit Jun Yexuan. The crowd laughed at this scene and didn't take it too seriously. 

Qiao Qing caught a glimpse of something and froze. She then rushed over and stopped Quan Zexi's fists. 

She then grabbed Jun Yexuan's hand and saw that there were some crisscrossing scars. Her eyes widened, "What happened?!"

Jun Yexuan took back his hand. He smiled and rubbed his nose.
