Because of his loud voice, everyone else from class 22 looked over. 

Before Qiao Qing could answer, Lin Xiyan said, "I don't know Go either."

Xu Yingying, who stood by Qiao Nian, laughed, "You are deskmates after all. If you don't know Go, why are you here? You really think you can win by playing it randomly?"

Lin Xiyan explained, "We didn't sign up. The teacher signed up for us.

Xu Yingying, "You didn't think to tell the teacher that you don't know the rules?"

Lin Xiyan said, "I did. He refused to believe me."

Qiao Qing looked over to Lin Xiyan with sympathy.

Luo Chen chuckled, "You two don't need to stress too much. Just don't go up there later. Ever since Qingqing placed first, bro Yang turned delusional. He thinks all the honor students have been hiding their true capabilities. He's not going to cry tears until he sees his own coffin."

Right then, Yang Lianfeng smacked Luo Chen on the head, "You think I don't exist or what? How can you describe me in such a manner? Don't tell anyone I taught you literature!"

Everyone laughed. 

After everyone took their seat, the MC walked onto the stage and announced, "There are 998 participants in this year's Go competition. The high number of participants is likely due to the new policy set out by the University of Capital City because more than half of the participants here are students who will be writing the university entrance exam."

"Please look to the screen for rewards for the top three participants. If any of the top three participants is a high school student going into university, they will receive 10 extra credits on their university application!"
