"You've read so many scripts. Could you have been part of the cast without my help?"0

Huo Zihang made his way downstairs slovenly with a cigarette in his mouth. 

"If you have that much time, go hit on some girls. Stop being such an eyesore."

Yan Jinyi was too lazy to even look at him. Instead, she was reading her scripts attentively. 

They were indeed all good storylines that were produced by renowned directors. However, such dramas were not suitable for her now.

She still had some self-awareness to know that, and most importantly, she did not like any of them. 

She closed the book of scripts and curled her finger at Huo Zihang.

Huo Zihang subconsciously looked at the feather duster that was left on the coffee table and took a few steps back. "What are you trying to do?"

Seeing that he was acting like a timid woman, Yan Jinyi raised her eyebrow and asked, "Come here and sit down. I'm not going to eat you up." 

He did not know if she would eat him up, but he knew that she'd definitely be able to beat him up. 

Ever since Yan Jinyi's personality changed drastically, he was almost tortured to the point of having a mental breakdown. 

For the past few days, Huo Zihang had been constantly looking forward to his siblings' return as he couldn't stand Yan Jinyi at all. 

'She might have asked me to go hit on girls but if I were to really go...'

Huo Zihang shivered and said, "What's the matter? Just tell me straight. I'm going to meet my friends for basketball." 

Yan Jinyi was in high spirits and could not be bothered to make things hard for him either. "I want to star in a drama that I like. Other than finding one with a suitable storyline, is there a way to land me a role that the audience won't hate?"

'Yan Jinyi is scared that others will hate her?'

'Oh my God, others would feel thankful if she doesn't roll her eyes at them.'

"Are you deaf? I like the husky that the security guards at the opposite mansion are rearing. The main thing is that huskies have sensitive ears. Why don't I cut them off and replace your ears with them?"

Huo Zihang subconsciously shuddered and at the thought of having two dog ears... 

"Invest in the drama yourself and you can be the boss who calls the shots. However..." With folded arms, Huo Zihang asked conceitedly and condescendingly, "Do you have any money to invest? Actually, you can look for me, I have a considerable amount of savings..."

"I may not have any money but your second brother does, doesn't he?" Yan Jinyi said smilingly.

Yan Jinyi did not get angry either and instead just stared at Huo Zihang straight in the eye. 

After a long time, she said, "How can you trust a woman's words? Once you take them seriously, you won't even know how you die."

"It's none of your business anymore. Don't be an eyesore here." 

Seeing her pick up her wallet and pull out a black card as if no one was beside her, Huo Zihang twitched the corners of his lips and said, "Actually, you can really use my money, I won't ask you to return it." 

'Second Brother doesn't like her in the first place. What if she invests a large sum of money into a movie or drama and ends up incurring losses? Wouldn't he hate her even more?'

'Will Second Brother divorce her because of this?'

At the thought of Yan Jinyi having to leave the Huo Family once she divorced Huo Xishen, Huo Zihang suddenly felt flustered.

A Chinese man was shuttling through the crowd in the gilded and opulent main hall. 

He was wearing a neatly trimmed and immaculate black suit with both hands in his pockets. He had long legs and he would attract the attention of the surrounding people with every step he took.

The dazzling light shone on his short, black hair and formed a faint shadow below his high and taut nose bridge. 

"That Chinese man is really dashing!"
