Ignoring the resentful glance that Liu Ran shot her, Yan Jinyi changed out of her clothes suavely and left. As soon as she arrived at the entrance of the studio, two policemen suddenly appeared to stop her. 

"You must be Yan Jinyi, huh? Someone charged you for deliberate assault, please come with us." 

'Jiang Zhao?' 

Yan Jinyi looked at both of them calmly and said, "Lead the way."

'I'm a regular guest of the police station! Don't they know that they gave me the title of a glorious citizen?' 

The truth has proven that the two policemen were unaware. 

The captain and the handsome young policeman who had dealt with her before had been deployed to another district, and these two in front of her had just been transferred over.

Almost as soon as she arrived at the police station, one of them grabbed her menacingly and waited for the interrogation. 

Soon, a man in a suit with greasy hair walked over with several bodyguards behind him. An ordinary person would definitely be frightened out of their wits now. 

"You are Yan Jinyi?" The middle-aged man looked askance at Yan Jinyi who was sitting on the chair, and there was a trace of anger in his tone. 

Yan Jinyi leaned against the wall, her hands crossed and placed against the back of her head. She asked languidly, "Yes?"

"I am Jiang Zhao's father Jiang Hai, I believe you have heard of my name."

Feeling a bit amused, Yan Jinyi said, "Never heard of it."

'Never heard of it? I, Jiang Hai, am a famous philanthropist, and she said she had never heard of me?'

Jiang Hai became more and more annoyed, but, according to the information he found, Yan Jinyi was just a small time actress of a humble background who recently gained fame. Hence, he thought that it made sense that she probably hadn't heard of his name before. 

"Do you know about the Tianxiang Charity Foundation?"

"Not interested." 

Jiang Hai suddenly felt like there was a lump in his throat and he said hostilely, "Miss Yan, you beat up my son and caused him to be hospitalized. How do you think I should settle this score with you?"

Yan Jinyi sneered and retorted, "Jiang Zhao beat up Zhao Xinchen, who's my underling, and caused him to be hospitalized. How do you think I should settle this score with you?"

As if he had heard the funniest joke on earth, Jiang Hai thought to himself with some disdain in his eyes, 'Does this woman really think she's some big shot? Zhao Xinchen is a famous heir and she said that he's her underling? What a joke!' 

"Mr. Zhao, Zhao Xinchen's father, has already agreed to settle this matter in private. What right do you have to interfere? Miss Yan, you either compensate my son with a million yuan and kowtow to him to apologize, or..." 

At this point, Jiang Hai paused and said, "I will lodge a formal appeal. Deliberate assault is a criminal offense. I think I still have the ability to put you behind bars for a few years." 

'Compensate? You want me to compensate? Are you not a joker from the circus?' 

Yan Jinyi yawned and lazily replied, "Sorry, I won't choose any of them."

Jiang Hai was furious. "In this case, Miss Yan, you'd better hire a reliable lawyer. You might be able to get a lighter sentence and a shorter jail term." 

Jiang Hai somehow managed to make the police detain Yan Jinyi for one night. 

He wanted to press charges on her for intentionally assaulting his son. 

"Miss Yan, I'll give you one more chance, compensate my son with a million yuan and kowtow to him to apologize and we'll let this matter slide." 

Jiang Hai knew clearly that Zhao Xinchen was the successor of Zhao Corporation after all. If not for the fact that Zhao Xinchen's father needed help from him, he definitely wouldn't let Jiang Zhao off for beating up Zhao Xinchen. 

Yet, Yan Jinyi intervened to beat up his precious son! He was certain that Zhao Xinchen must have deliberately got her to beat him up because he was displeased with his father's decision.
