Yan Jinyi asked with surprise, "So you do have a suitor, huh?" 

"It's a senior of mine from college. Actually, he did try to woo me when we were in college but he went abroad to further his studies after I rejected him. Recently... I ran into him in the US and he wants to woo me all over again. He keeps coming to pester me all the time." 

"Is he handsome? Is he rich? What does he do for a living?" 

"He's an architect. We attended a painting exhibition together previously and that's actually where I ran into him." 

'Architect, huh? Sounds like a lofty job but it doesn't matter, as long as he's Shen Yan's suitor.' 

At this moment, Huo Chengyu had already walked towards the sofa opposite Yan Jinyi and sat down with a book in hand, which he was reading seriously. 

Yan Jinyi cleared her throat and said again loudly, "All that matters is he can afford to provide for you. Yan Yan, you're so outstanding and beautiful, your suitors must be great catches too. You two are of a marriageable age anyway. If you find him suitable for you, just accept his courtship. He's been holding a torch for you since college, men like him are rare." 

Yan Jinyi deliberately put her phone on loudspeaker and soon, Shen Yan's voice could be heard coming from him.

It was followed by dense and hurried footsteps. 

Soon, a pleasant male voice sounded. 

"Shen Yan, I heard your assistant say you are still working overtime. I happened to be passing by so I decided to bring you some late-night snacks."

He was still seated composedly and reading his book, seemingly unaffected by the fact that Shen Yan had a new suitor.
