Bai Moliang stared at Yan Jinyi and suddenly smirked before saying with disdain, "Miss Yan, you're the first person I've met who has the guts to talk to me like this. Do you really don't want to make a living in the entertainment industry anymore?" 

'He's threatening me, huh?'

Bai Moliang was known for being an overprotective brother who pampered his younger sister to no end. Hearing her words, he flew into a rage and suddenly smacked his hand against the table. He squinted and said, "Yan Jinyi, don't go too far. Who are you to comment about my sister?"

'What an abominable woman.' 

"You're just being all cocky because you're Huo Xishen's current wife. Don't think you can do whatever you want just because you can fight. We're living in a modern society and it'd be a piece of cake for me to destroy your reputation to the point that you can't even make a living." 

'How can a decent-looking man like him be so abhorrent?'

Yan Jinyi looked at Bai Moliang with a straight face. "Mr. Bai, has anyone ever told you that you are quite narcissistic?" 

Bai Moliang looked extremely displeased. 

"I guess no one has told you that. Otherwise, you wouldn't be so narcissistic, so, I shall be the one to tell you now." She continued with a narcissistic smile, "Whatever you have up your sleeve, bring it on. If I chicken out, I'll kneel down and call you my ancestor." 

She raised her chin slightly and said in an arrogant tone. Bai Moliang couldn't help but subconsciously be reminded of Tang Qing when he saw he roguish behavior. 

He realized that the two of them were somewhat similar. 

"I'm really curious about why an ultra-rich and prestigious family like the Huos would approve of a distasteful boor like you." 

'Distasteful boor?' 

Yan Jinyi rested one hand on the back of the sofa, crossed one leg over the other, and shook it nonchalantly. "Don't expect a bandit to be cultured. You should feel lucky that I didn't wreck your place."

At this moment, the office door was suddenly pushed open. The figure in front of Yan Jinyi moved and the next thing she knew, she had already been pulled up from the sofa forcefully.

Looking at the tall and muscular man in front of her, she asked in shock, "Huo... Huo Xishen, what are you doing here?"

Huo Xishen didn't answer her and instead stared at Bai Moliang coldly. "Mr. Bai, my dear wife is very timid and she can't take any frights. If you want to meet her in the future, please inform me beforehand."

Recalling the things Yan Jinyi had done and the way she behaved, Bai Moliang couldn't help but smirk mirthlessly. 

'I didn't think there would be a day where Huo Xishen would lie through his teeth.' 

"Are you sure you want to abandon my sister?"

"How can I abandon her if we've never been together?" Huo Xishen took Yan Jinyi's hand and said, "By the way, my wife is very hot-tempered, don't blame me for not reminding you in advance if she takes revenge on you in the future."
