With a pitiful look on her face, An Xin said in a nasally voice, "Qing, you should know that I returned from abroad for you and I also gave up the opportunity to walk in Fashion Week for your sake." 1

Tang Qing rubbed his temples because of his headache. "An Xin, you don't have to pin your hopes on me." 

"Qing, must you be so ruthless to me?"

'Ruthless?'

Staring at her coldly, Tang Qing wondered, 'Who's the ruthless one?'

An Xin was getting a little spooked by the way he was staring at her. With an awkward smile, she said, "Qing, as long as you're not married, I won't give up on you." 

Yan Jinyi was reading it quietly. If they were all still young, she might have been touched by those words and go on to advise Tang Qing.

Unfortunately, they were all adults. 

"Sister An Xin, you're so nice to Mr. Tang. Mr. Tang, I'm almost moved to tears."

Huo Xishen had a sullen look on his face while An Xin subconsciously clenched her fists. 

'That bitch Yan Jinyi. She's married and she's still going around seducing others and hooking up with men.' 

"Mr. Tang, if you keep acting like this, others are going to think that I'm a wonton woman." 

Smart women definitely knew how to navigate such awkward situations. 

Yan Jinyi squinted and held onto Huo Xishen's arm. "Honey, my heart and body belong to you. It's getting late. Don't you want to experience the joy of being a father?" 

Huo Xishen raised his brows and entered the password of the door compliantly. "Mr. Tang, Huo Zihang probably has many resources to introduce to you."

'Resources?' 

Tang Qing was bewildered. "What resources?" 

The second before he closed the door, Huo Xishen answered leisurely, "Women."

The spacious corridor immediately quietened down. An Xin wanted to take the initiative to seduce him but Tang Qing suddenly said, "If you still don't leave, the bodyguard will come and arrest you."

All she got in response was the massive sound of the door being shut. 

Tang Qing suddenly felt that An Xin was here to create trouble for him. 

'Was I blind to have fallen in love with that?' 

'Indeed, I was young and ignorant.'

Huo Xishen really wanted to get it on with Yan Jinyi. The ambiance was perfect but Yan Jinyi left after receiving a phone call from Shen Yan. 

It suddenly started raining outside. When Shen Yan returned, she got into a traffic accident caused by drinking and driving. 

The summer rain came and passed quickly. The floor was wet and the faint smell of mud was still permeating the air from the flower beds on both sides of the road.

"Darling, you can call Chengyu now."

As soon as Huo Xishen started the car, he decided to slow down a little after some thought. 

"What do you want to call him for?" 

"Darling, don't you want to see Chengyu panicking?" 

Huo Chengyu would be smiling like a paper tiger every single time. Yan Jinyi had always felt that Huo Chengyu was living rather hypocritically. 

'See him getting anxious?' 

"Chengyu doesn't like Shen Yan anyway. He won't care unless you get into an accident." 

"How would you know if you don't try?" 

After blinking, Yan Jinyi resolutely pulled out her cell phone to call Huo Chengyu. 

Huo Chengyu finally came out of the hospital. 

There was a major operation to be held today and he felt extremely fatigued at the moment. 

As soon as he took a shower and was ready to go to the study, the sounds of his cellphone ringing filled the air. 

The person who called was Yan Jinyi. 

It was rare of Yan Jinyi to call him. 

"Jinyi..." 

"Huo Chengyu, your ex-wife has gotten into a car accident!" Yan Jinyi hollered in exasperation. 

Huo Chengyu hesitated for a while before recalling that his ex-wife was Shen Yan. 

"She's at 208 National Boulevard. You should be nearer to that place. Hurry up and go over. I heard that she's severely injured and she's bleeding profusely."
