C61 Chapter 61 - Strikes Again
*Pryce’s Point of View*
---
"Hey, Blair, is there any problem?" I asked my girlfriend since she's been acting so weird today. She keeps on looking anywhere around us like there's someone that she is searching for.
"Uh, no. No, there's no problem. Right, Drea?" She replied and asked Andrea, who's busy eating her fruit salad.
"Huh?" She looked at us, and Blair slowly reached for her food.
"Nothing, it's actually the weather," Blair uttered and talked about nonsense. Hmmm, this freak.
Then the blonde girl just shrugged it off and didn't notice anything.
"Seriously, Blair?" I asked her because she seemed off. She must have some problems.
Then I looked at my best friend, and she's busy flirting with Alison. Is there something I'm missing from these two? I'll ask them later.
"So, Pryce... How's Blair in bed?" Leanne asked me, and I have no idea what she's talking about.
"Uh, what bed?" I asked her confusedly as I picked up a piece of potato fries on my tray.
I looked at Blair, and I noticed that she's so damn red. Is she sick?
Then my gaze went to Andrea and Marvy, who're smiling like crazy, while my best friend and Ali seemed not to listen at all.
"Really, Anne? Do you have to ask her in public?" Andrea scolds her girlfriend while giggling. What is it all about? Now, I'm getting so curious.
"What's the matter? We're all above eighteen here." She reasoned out, and I think I'm having the idea of what she meant by the bed. Mhmm. And no, she's wrong. Blair is still seventeen years old.
"Ahem! Who among you here wants some drinks?" Blair cleared her throat then asked just to change the awkward topic since she's sensing that I'm kinda realizing what it is, and I know my face is damn blushing right now.
"Me!" Almost all at our table answered and raised their hands.
"Alright, I'll just buy the biggest soda they have." She uttered and stood up to go to the counter while the girls cheered and clapped their hands.
"So, Pryce... I mean, is she *thumbs up* or *thumbs down*?" Leanne asked me again as she was doing the hand signs.
I just smiled and answered her truthfully.
"Well, actually... We haven't... you know, did the thing." I answered, and they were nodding their heads slowly.
And I looked at Alison since she seemed startled, and then she suddenly called Blair at the top of her lungs. "Blair!"
I looked at where Blair was, and as I looked at her, she was not there anymore.
And a loud gunshot was heard inside the canteen that made the students panic.
And now, Blair is right in front of me. But she went to the counter? How did she…?
What the hell just happened?
I looked behind Blair and saw the gunman was lying on the floor and was beaten up by Alison. And I think he passed out. Good for him.
Then the school guards hurried in and handcuffed the unconscious man.
Is this happening in reality? I didn't just have a shooting accident in my academy. Tell me, it isn't real.
Oh, my goodness! I only hope no one was hurt.
---
I hurriedly called the principal's office and told Ron to cancel the class for this afternoon because of the shooting incident.
There are no other students inside the canteen now, other than me, Blair, Cassie, and Ali. The police must be coming their way here.
"Oh, my gosh, Blair!" I heard Cassie let out while panicking.
Then I looked at Blair, and I saw blood stains on her shirt as her blood started to drip down from her stomach. And I can feel my heartbeat going really fast, seeing her bleed and in pain. Now, it's my turn to panic.
"Blair! Somebody call an ambulance!" I yelled with a broken voice. I don't know what to do, and I could feel my whole system shaking. No!
"No, I'm fine, Pryce. I'm okay. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." She said while putting pressure on her wound. And I could feel my tears building up in my eyes.
"Not again, Blair. This one is worse. Please, listen." I begged her because the last time she stopped me from calling help was at Fallon’s welcome party.
"I'm fine, really." She replied, and as I looked at her wound, she's not just holding it. She's digging it and trying to get something.
"Oh, my God! Blair, stop it! You're hurting yourself!" I belted at her, but she seemed to continue what she was doing while I'm trying to call for help.
"Blair, please! Stop it, this instance! Please!" I kept yelling at her, and she seemed to finally stop.
"Got it! Ah, it's silver! Fudge that man!" She let out and pulled out her bloody hands with a bullet. This freak will be the death of me right now. I'm about to faint.
She closed her eyes, and she seemed to turn pale, and it made me more worried than before. She lost too much blood.
"Blair, you're crazy," I said worriedly, and I started to cry.
She opened her eyes, and her skin color went back to normal. Then she hugged and shushed me as my tears started to fall from my eyes, and then she caressed my back as she comforted me.
"Shh! I'm fine. I'll be okay. Sander, Ali, we got a problem. There are three coming in. Dogs." She uttered, and I don't know what she's talking about.
Then she let me go and wiped my tears with her other hand.
"What should we do, Blair?" Alison asked worriedly, and Cassie seemed very alert, looking in any direction, while they circled me.
"We'll go to a safer place," Blair let out and faced me.
Then she touched my forehead, and everything around me turned black.

*Blair’s Point of View*
---
"Where are you going to take her? What happened to her?" The principal asked us while I'm carrying Pryce in my arms.
Damn it! I almost didn't make it earlier. Because of my recklessness, I almost lost her. In that way, I cannot forgive myself ever. That gunman was not a werewolf. He is human. The enemies are now getting sneakier.
"Umm... We are taking her somewhere safe, Sir." My cousin answered him, but he seemed not convinced.
What should we do?
Then he went near us and spoke.
"Is it happening?" He asked, and I think he knew something about Pryce.
"The what?" I asked him while putting Pryce on the table.
"Her awakening." He replied, and he really knew something. But I can't sense anything supernatural from him. He's just plainly human.
"You knew?" My cousin asked him in surprise.
"Yes. Her mother is a werewolf too. Before she died, she told me that Pryce's awakening would be very important in the race of the werewolves. And she ordered me to protect her and be ready for anything that will happen. Is she okay?" Mr. Burton explained, and that makes sense.
"Okay. But, Sir, we need to take her somewhere safer than here. We're not humans, but we are ready to protect her at all costs." I told him, and he nodded his head in agreement.
"I see. You can protect her better than I do. Go, and I will cover you up." He told us, and with that, I carried Pryce again and told my cousin and Ali to hold on to me.
---
"Wooooa, ahh! Damn it!" My cousin was busy puking by my window while I placed Pryce on my bed gently.
I kissed her forehead, and I am so thankful that she is safe with me now.
"Hey, are you okay?" Ali asked her mate, which seemed not to stop her sickness.
"I damn f*cking hate teleporting!" She exclaimed, and I don't believe that it's my fault that she pukes every time she gets dizzy.
"Well, my bad again. Sorry, cousin." I apologized, and she breathed deeply and continued vomiting. Damn, there is nothing I can do about that now.
"I thought you were pregnant," Ali said seriously, which made me burst into a fit of laughter.
"Good one, Ali," I let out while laughing so damn hard, but the wolf seemed like she meant it. Oh, damn!
"Oh, I almost forgot. We're both... Females." Ali uttered, and my cousin's face went redder than before while glaring at her mate.
"What's funny, Blairie?" She asked me while being so annoyed by my reaction.
"What? Nothing. I'll just build a force field so that those monsters' senses will weaken," I spoke just to escape from the topic.
I looked at Pryce, and she's sleeping soundly.
I actually put her to sleep so that she wouldn't notice anything supernatural.
"What should we do now, Blair?" Ali asked me while taking her seat on the couch near my bed.
"I actually don't have the idea," I answered truthfully, and Sander finally composed herself.
"I think we should tell her." My cousin uttered, and our heads turned to her.
"Uh, how?" I asked her because I don't know how to tell Pryce.
"You will tell her." Cassandra said, and I pointed at myself.
"Me?" I asked.
"Yes, you, Blair." She asserted.
"Why?" I asked again since I'm not the one who has thought of the idea.
"Because you're the girlfriend." She answered while emphasizing my relationship with the werewolf KingQueenRuler.
"Well, you're the best friend and the one that has thought of that idea." I reasoned out, and Ali's been turning her head from my cousin and me.
"But she needs to know." She asserted while sitting next to her mate.
"So, you will tell her?" I told her, and she's about to say something when Pryce spoke.1
"Tell me what?" She asked sleepily, and our heads turned in her direction. How did she wake up? I swear, my sleeping induction spell doesn't work that perfectly.
"Uh, well... Blair has something to tell you about... all of us." My cousin answered my girlfriend, and I glared at her.
Fudge this, how am I gonna start? Should I kill my cousin first? Maybe later.
"Oh, what is it, Blair?" Pryce asked me as she sat up on my bed, and I really don't have an idea of what to say.
"Uh, umm... It's... nothing, well, I… uh…" I tried to compose a sentence that I will tell her, and the two here are just listening and waiting for me to say something.
"What is it? I know there's something. Well, wait up. Where are we? Blair, you have been shot at your stomacj. You're bleeding! Are you okay? The academy. Wait, what happened? I was asleep?" She asked as she remembered what had happened earlier. Now, this will really push me to tell her the truth.
"We are at my house, and we're safe here for now," I replied, and she still wonders about everything.
"How did we get in here? We were at school. How was the academy? You have your wound." She asked continuously, and worry was visible on her face.
"Well, the academy is fine. The principal has handled everything there. And I'm fine, it's not that worse. It's already healed." I answered her, and she stood up and went closer to me.
"Okay, so what is it that you're gonna tell me? But are you sure that you are okay now? Let me see it." She said while examining me closely, and I nodded my head.
"Well, it's better if you take a seat because it is something that you can't easily believe," I told her, and she seemed to obey.
Then she sat at the edge of the bed and listened intently.
"Tell me." She let out, and I took a very, very deep breath.
Finally, I looked at my companions, and they nodded at me.
"We're not humans," I confessed.
