C64 Chapter 64 - The Date
*Blair’s Point of View*
---
She walks down the stairs with all her glory and beauty. And it seems like everything around me became slow motion.
There she is, the girl that made me feel that love can do so many things, and she can bring out the best in me as well as the worst.
She looked at me and smiled, a smile that we rarely see. And I just stared at her in awe until she reached in front of me.
"Look at the camera, ladies! And don't forget to smile!" Marve yelled and clicked the camera that had been hanging on her neck.
Well, time never comes back, and we better save the memories while we still can.
"Alright, everyone, let's get ready! And after that, we'll eat, and let's have a movie marathon in the basement. Damn, I'm starving!" Sander let out and opened the door for us while Ali hit on the switch at the wall that made the pathway lit up heading to the lake.
Damn, it took me thirty minutes to design the whole place with my super speed. It's just really hard to decide on what to put here and there while looking at Andrea's plan for the decorations. She draws like a five year old. But I guess I did it justice. It's awesome.
I offered a hand for my girlfriend to hold while I led her to the middle of the lake. I actually have put a platform in the middle and put some lights on the water lilies. And it has a fantastic result, I guess.
"It's beautiful, Blair. How did you do all of these?" She uttered in amazement and asked while looking around the whole place.
"You're talking to a vampire, Pryce. And of course, with the help of the girls. They planned this and that, and everything." I replied, and she looked at me. Fudge it, why does she have to be so damn beautiful always?
"Yeah, how could I forget? Thank you." She uttered as I pulled a chair for her to sit, and I sat in front of her with a table for two in between us.
I turned into a vampire for a while just to check if there are any werewolves around, but I can only feel Alison.
Then I turned back to a human after checking, and I didn't notice that Pryce had been staring at me.
"Is everything alright?" She asked worriedly as she reached for my left hand on the table.
"Yeah, so far. I'm so sorry if I have to transform back and forth. It's just to make sure that nothing goes wrong." I replied and apologized.
We have to be extra careful with our surroundings because we'll never know if the enemies are just lurking around.
"No problem, Blair. I know you're doing it for the safety of everybody." She said, and I reached for the wine and then poured a tiny amount in her glass. And that also sends a signal to the girls to deliver the food. Well, these are all their crazy ideas.
"Especially you. If something bad happens, I cannot blame anybody but myself." I uttered and let out a sigh.
It's just really hard to think that there's a future that makes me worry so bad. It's going to be tomorrow, and I badly don't want that day to come.
"Hey, everything will be okay. Trust me. Let's forget about it for now, and let's enjoy this night." She let out while holding my hand tightly.
"Good evening, ladies and ladies! Just ladies. The food is here and bon appetite or appetit, well, I don't know." Leanne greeted us while placing our food in front of us with a smile of a crocodile.
"Thanks, Lee, and eat already. Maybe my cousin and your girlfriend will not leave anything for you," I told her, and she chuckled since those girls really have big appetites.
"Well… then I'll just eat my girlfriend instead." She replied, and hearing that, my eyes widened.
This girl is really, really something. And Pryce right now is having a skeptical look on her face.
"You know what I meant. Right, Blair?" She asked, and Pryce turned her gaze at me.
"No, I don't," I answered while shaking my head 'no'.
Well, I actually have learned lots of things from them since I spent most of my time with them after class. And there's a lot that is not suitable for kids. You would really think that this girl is an angel since she's one of the most popular girls at the academy and the head of the cheerleaders, but damn, she knew lots of crazy things. Lots.
"Oh, yes, you do. Just tell Pryce about it if she wants to know." She let out and winked at Pryce, who's busy looking at me sharply.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just go now." I agreed as I shooed her away.
"Thank you for the food, Leanne," Pryce said, and she bowed unto her and waved goodbye. Finally!
"Alright, let's eat," I said, and Pryce is really learning something so quickly from my crazy friends.
"Eat what?" She asked, and I just stared at her in disbelief. Fudge, those people are infectious!
"The food?" I said while making emphasis on the food that is in front of us.
"Right." She mumbled while smiling like an idiot. Well, I didn't know that this girl can be crazy, too. And it's amazing.
---
We were currently eating when she asked me something about why I'm vegan.
"Blair, why are you vegetarian while you drink blood as your source of energy?" She asked curiously while eating a piece of roasted meat.
"Well, I actually have no idea. For me, it just tastes like cardboard while I'm in my human form. And all I need is the blood and not the meat while I am a vampire. I also pity the poor animal that they get the meat from. Truth be told, I really don't kill just to drink blood." I explained, and she sipped on her wine.
"Hmmm... What do you think, Blair, will I eat a human if I'm a werewolf already?" She asked curiously, and that made me choke on my food, making me cough it out.
"Uh, no! You don't need to eat humans. There are a lot of things a werewolf can eat, just like animals, those are a good source of energy for you, and at the same time, you can't hurt somebody." I explained as she kept on nodding her head.
"Umm, will there be a possibility that I cannot control myself if I transform into a werewolf?" She inquisitively asked, and I don't know what to answer.
"Well, I don't have the idea since the only werewolf I knew is Ali, and she has never transformed into her werewolf form yet. But let's just hope that it won't go that way." I answered and then drank all the contents of my wine glass.
---
After eating our dinner, Ali asked me in a whisper if what is the key to my basement movie room. And I told her that it's a number combination, and before even Ali could get it, the witch barged in already. Okay, they are raiding my house now.
"Is everything okay, Blair?" Pryce asked, and I just scratched my head.
"Well, Sander destroyed the lock of the basement," I answered, and she just laughed. What's funny about that? Well, at least she laughs.
"That's one of the disadvantages of having a supernatural family." She let out and composed herself.
"Yeah! It's utterly ridiculous. And talking about family, does your father know that your mom was a werewolf?" I asked her, and she seemed to think deeply.
"I don't think so. Well, Mom died in a plane crash, the same accident where Leanne's parents died. And wait, maybe Cassie's mom knew since they're best friends." She began, and she got the point.
"Alright, we'll ask them tomorrow if the humans will go since they don't have the plan on leaving now," I uttered, and yes, the three are having a fudging sleepover here tonight without my permission. They own my house already.
"Okay, and I hope that we can get answers from Cassie's mom. I don't want to ask my father because... Maybe he'll freak out if he has no idea about it, too." She answered, and I nodded my head in response then stood up and offered a hand to her.
She seemed confused, but she held on to it, and she also stood up.
"May I have this dance with you?" I asked her while thinking about how to dance.
Fudge this! I should've never agreed with them about this one. Leanne has taught me some moves since the last few days, but I can't... I just can't. I still don't know how to.
"Wow! I didn't know that you could dance, Blair." She let out amusingly and smiled so wide. If you just knew.
"Well, honestly, I really have no idea how this should be done," I said with all honesty, and I made a small speaker playing with some sweet music using my telekinesis.
"If you won't ask... I grew up attending parties that are full of slow dancing." She said near my ear, and that sent shivers down my spine.
Then we started to move slowly, and as I looked at my house, I could see that five heads were peeking at the window. And I turned into a vampire for a while, which made me clearly see their reactions. Marvy's making a thumbs-up sign while my cousin is making a kissing hand signal, and Andrea and Leanne are doing a scissoring gesture with their hands. And I just gave them a middle finger in response. I thought they're watching a movie?
"Ali, can you drag them away from the window? Please?" I whispered to the werewolf, and that made my girlfriend startled.2
"Is everything okay, Blair?" Pryce asked and looked into my eyes.
"No, it's nothing. Just some five pairs of eyes peeking and trying to know what we are doing." I replied, and she chuckled. I really love to always hear her laugh.
"Well, can you take us to a place where there'll only be the both of us?" She asked while playing with my hair and bit her lower lip after she moistened them.
Then I gulped since this girl is up to something. Well, I don't want to assume but fudge it.
"As you wish," I agreed and turned back into a vampire, and finally, I teleported to a place that she is comfortable—her bedroom.
