She was thinking about how vulnerable her teacher was at that moment and assumed he was more than just a little tired so she hurried him home for a bath and to get some rest.1

He Shigui smiled a little and stepped over the fire to enter the home.

The foreign home made him naturally curious, "Whose home is this?"

"A friend of mine's. Her name is Lin Jiayu. She was my patient before, but we are now good friends. She is very nice. Because she got married recently, the apartment was left empty so she let me live in it. While He Shigui was in the bathroom, Yu Gangan went to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and took out some ingredients to cook.

She didn't know how her Master Handsome had been living during this time. How did an average person lose so much weight? How badly had he been eating to cause this level of malnutrition?

But, just the thought of it broke her heart.

She had to help her teacher replenish well. No matter how bad she was at cooking, it was still more nutritious than getting takeout.

When He Shigui came out from the bathroom and saw Yu Gangan struggling in the kitchen, he immediately walked inside, "Why are you in the kitchen? Let me do it."

After washing away a body of dust and fatigue, He Shigui recovered his usual handsome and noble self. Several months of absence made him look a lot more mature.

Yu Gangan brushed away He Shigui's hand and pushed him into the living room. She then pressed him down on the sofa so he could sit well, "Master Handsome, get some rest. I'll cook today."

"You?"

He Shigui looked at her in surprise.

He practically brought her up. Since they had lived together for so many years, he knew how much she hated cooking. He was the one that cooked rice, prepared food, washed the dishes, and even did the laundry like a father.

If he wasn't away from home sometimes, she would probably be incapable of even making congee or fried rice.

Yu Gangan slightly raised her chin and said proudly, "While you weren't around, I learned how to cook a few dishes. Have a good rest so you can try my skills later and give me a rating."
