Wang Lu must have thought that it was she who had stopped Mu Qing from rescuing Xie Zhuojun.

At the villa of Family Xie, Xie Zhuojun got both surprised and annoyed seeing that Wang Lu returned in such a condition. But his father was at the company to deal with the contract problem and he wasn't a match against the two strong men, so he pushed his anger deep down.

He didn't know what was going on until Wang Lu woke up.

In anger, he swallowed some painkillers and drove to Jingsheng the following morning.

He just wanted to ask Shangguan Ning about how she could treat his mother like this. They had hurt her and sent her home. How could she be so cruel? He also wanted to ask her if she wanted him to die so badly?

But when he arrived at Jingsheng, he was told that Shangguan Ning wasn't at the enterprise. After many efforts, he got to know that Shangguan Ning was in charge of the media affairs of Jingsheng Enterprise and had gone to the filming set with the Director of Media.

He immediately rushed to the filming set - the central park of A City.

The park was temporarily closed due to the filming. No one was allowed inside.

Xie Zhuojun stuffed a pile of money into the security guard's pocket before he was allowed inside.

There were many people at the set and some famous stars who were rarely seen in everyday life were also standing there. There were many staff members who were assembled in a group. A man and a woman were standing in the middle. Xie Zhuojun didn't recognize the man whom he assumed to be the Director of the Media at Jingsheng Enterprise whilst the woman was none other than Shangguan Ning.

She was dressed in a light green dress and a pair of high-heels of the same color. She had a thin golden belt around her waist, looking elegant and beautiful, fresh like a new spout of a tender willow tree. She didn't pale in front of those shining stars.

Because of her confidence and composure, she looked even more noble than the rest of the people.

Everyone had surrounded her and tried to talk with her, one after another. She replied to queries, gracefully. The Director of Media standing beside her was just like her assistant, who helped her keep a distance from the group whilst explaining something to her.

Soon, they left the shooting spot and started to walk alongside the rock path in the park. They seemed to be looking for someone.

Xie Zhuojun was about to catch up with them when he suddenly noticed a familiar silhouette among the actors and actresses.

Shangguan Rouxue!

Why was she here as well? Wasn't she resting at home during her pregnancy? When he had gone home yesterday, she claimed that she didn't go anywhere, even the programs at the TV Station were suspended.

Also, she had a huge mask on her hair and face, covering it completely as if she didn't want to be seen.

Xie Zhuojun gave up following Shangguan Ning and chose to follow Shangguan Rouxue instead.

He wanted to catch Shangguan Rouxue red handed so that he could divorce her as soon as possible. Post that he wouldn't need to talk with her in a polite manner anymore.

The very next minute he was shocked.

He saw that Shangguan Rouxue deliberately bumped herself against a tall man with her stomach.

At this moment, Xie Zhuojun understood clearly that Shangguan Rouxue had no plans to keep this child.

He suddenly shivered. He had underestimated Shangguan Rouxue's viciousness. She could be so cruel as to try and kill her own child.

Shangguan Rouxue had known that the President of Jinsgheng Enterprise would come to the set for a brief inspection.

But she didn't see anyone who looked like the President. Instead, she saw Shangguan Ning standing among a group of actors and directing people around.

She was nothing more than a minor assistant, how could she have so much power?

Shangguan Rouxue was very displeased in heart. She had never lost to Shangguan Ning and she was not going to lose to her even now.

She was very confident about her looks. No man could resist falling in love with her whenever they saw her.

Therefore, she had been asking about the President of Jingsheng Enterprise. She wanted to have an encounter with him that he was never going to forget in his life.

It was a trick that always worked.

It was because of the "encounter" which she had had with Xie Zhuojun years back that Xie Zhuojun was stunned by her. So much so that they hadn't waited and slept with each other immediately afterwards. Then he had abandoned Shangguan Ning and chose her instead.

But the President of Jingsheng Enterprise wasn't an ordinary man, so Shangguan Rouxue wanted to use her unborn kid as part of the plan too.
