Approach of Death Part Two

The view outside the window looked dark, with clouds covering the sun. It was like the dusk after sunset, the dawn before the sunrise.0

The rain was getting heavier, and soon the drizzle turned into a storm.

The wind seemed to be roaring, as if singing an elegy for someone's impending death.

A white lightning struck across the sky, brightening the entire area. The brightness disappeared within a second, and the sky was swallowed by darkness. The sound of thundering arose and it seemed as if the entire earth was shivering.

Jing Yichen threw a look outside the window and said in a lethal voice, "It is the last day of your life in this world. You should have died ages ago, but father never allowed me to touch you. Now you can say your last words."

Jing Yiran's eyes reflected confidence. "You are not going to kill me. The shares will go to someone else if you do so. You will never be able to get them. Jingsheng Enterprise will belong to someone else after my death, so I suggest that you treat me well, otherwise you will regret what you have done."

Jing Yichen looked down at Jing Yiran who was in a mess. He said with an arrogant voice, "Anyone who dares to take Jingsheng Enterprise's shares will end up dead. The next person will have a worse ending than you do. I do not care who will take over Jingsheng Enterprise, because I can take it back from whoever that has it. So, Jingsheng Enterprise does not matter. What matters, is that you are no longer allowed to live."

Jing Yichen took out a black pistol from his pocket and aimed at Jing Yiran's head.

"Done with your last words? Then it is time for you to go."

Jing Yiran could tell that Jing Yichen simply could not wait to kill him.

He bellowed furiously, "I did kidnap Shangguan Ning, but I did not push her off the bridge. It was Yang Muyan's man who did that. You can just go and kill her."

Maybe because Jing Yiran was on the verge of dying, Jing Yichen was more patient with him than usual. He answered him back evenly.

"I do not need your reminder. Yang Muyan will die very soon anyway. You can keep each other company in hell. As for the man who pushed Ning off the bridge, he is already waiting for you there. Anyone who hurts my wife and child will not be allowed to live!"

Lu stared at the brothers who were in a face-off. She felt a touch of misery when she saw Jing Yichen aiming at Jing Yiran.

But she knew that Jing Yiran was definitely going to die today, and even though she had injured him badly, Jing Yichen was not going to spare his life.

She had thought that Jing Yichen would not kill him, when he was so badly injured, and would wait for him to get better.

But Jing Yichen didn't care about anything except for his hatred towards Jing Yiran. He simply wanted to get rid of this dangerous man.

He had waited seven days before coming to end his life, and that was the maximum he could do.

Jing Yichen did not care about shares, declarations or properties. All he cared about was his wife and child for whom he could do anything.

Jing Yichen sensed Lu's look. He said to her, "Your service has cancelled out your sin. From today on, leave the Jing Family, and never return."

Lu got slightly startled. She looked at Jing Yichen with her large eyes and then lowered her head before saying in a dry voice, "Okay, I will leave."

She knew that Jing Yichen was furious about her letting Shangguan Ning fall into Jing Yiran's hands. The reason why he did not kill her was because she had done a great deal for Family Jing and also because she was not able to control the two versions of herself.

But she was a potential hidden danger and Jing Yichen could not keep her around anymore.

Or maybe Jing Yichen had already discovered where her heart laid. She had been taking care of Jing Yiran. Maybe Jing Yichen had noticed it, although Jing Yiran knew nothing about it.

She was not a qualified bodyguard any longer.

Jing Yiran got startled. He had not expected that Jing Yichen would not even spare Lu!

He bellowed at Jing Yichen, "You are lethal and ruthless! I forced Lu to do whatever she did. She did not help me out of her own accord. Where would she go if you throw her out?"

"I have told you enough times that I will never show any mercy towards anyone who hurt my wife and child. Lu knows what she has done and I am already being kind by not killing her!"

Jing Yichen stared at Jing Yiran with a cold look and said calmly, "Why do you care about anyone else? I never knew that you were such a just man. If you are so close to each other, then Lu can die with you."

Jing Yiran took a deep breath. He pressed down his anger and said what were supposed to be his last words. He did not panic anymore.

"I have nothing to do with Lu. She would not have tortured me to such a degree if we were friends. You can kill us all, Tiger, your men, so you are the only one who remains in the entire world."

"How do you know that she was not being kind to you to have tortured you like this?"

Jing Yichen's words startled both Lu and Jing Yiran.

"Nonsense! She tortured me because she was forcing me to hand out the shares."

Jing Yichen threw a calm look at Lu's pale face, and showed a lethal smile. "Oh, really?"

"She may not have known how badly I wanted to kill you. Maybe she thought that if you are disabled, I will not kill you. Unfortunately, she overestimated my merciful side. My mother will rest in peace now when both you and your mother are dead!"Jing Yichen said as he was about to pull the trigger.

Jing Yiran suddenly bellowed." Wait!"

Jing Yichen asked coldly, "What more do you have to say?"

Jing Yiran stared at him with bloodied eyes, then he started to laugh wildly. After a minute, he spoke carefully. "I have one more person with me whom you might be interested in."

"Who is it?"

"Zhao Anan!"
