124 I Must Save Her
Kral’s POV
After Alen and Vivian left, I rested in my tent. Everything seemed fine at first, but after a while, I suddenly felt a sense of unease.
Not only me, but Alice, who was by my side, also felt something was wrong.
At my request, she began to chant a spell and drew a circle on the ground in our tent.
She had a special connection with Vivian, and soon the image of Vivian and Alen appeared inside the circle. Both of them seemed to be unconscious in the pack house's study.
"Danger!" Alice exclaimed.
"They must have been drugged or charmed by Albert. He's definitely up to something. We need to stop him right away."
Albert had already taken Delia, but what did he intend to do next? The only thing I could think of was that he might be planning to take Delia back to the vampire territory. If that was the case, I was ready to risk everything to prevent it.
"What can we do to stop him?" I asked anxiously.
"I can cast a teleportation spell, but it will drain a lot of my energy. Once we teleport to the pack house, my strength won't be enough to confront Albert," Alice said with a worried look. "I'm not sure what to do."
"Alice, cast the teleportation spell immediately, and I'll go with you!" I said firmly.
"I can't let Albert succeed no matter what."
Perhaps my determination was so clear that Alice didn't oppose this time.
She replied with a simple "Okay" and drew a larger circle, starting to chant an incantation that I couldn't understand.
While Alice cast the spell, I summoned all the strength within me to transform from human to a wolf.
Only in my wolf form would I have the strength needed to confront Albert.
Alice took some time to complete the spell, and then she stood inside the circle. She said to me, "Teleporting can only send one person once. I'll go first. Once my figure disappears inside the circle, you can step into it."
I nodded. Although I was anxious, I patiently waited. As soon as Alice's figure vanished from the circle, I immediately entered it.
I saw a green light in front of me and felt a surge of powerful energy enveloping my entire body.
During the teleportation process, my fur had a sharp, intense pain that seemed to penetrate my very bones.
I endured the immense pain until the green light disappeared, and suddenly, my body felt incredibly light.
When the white mist before my eyes dissipated, I saw Alice standing in front of me, and Albert not far from us. I immediately recognized that he was carrying Delia on his shoulder.
Despite the lingering pain in my body, seeing this scene diverted all my attention. I realized that my suspicions were likely coming true.
Albert was indeed planning to take Delia away.
I immediately let out a thunderous roar, "Put down Delia!"
Albert heard my roar and appeared momentarily stunned. Seizing the moment, my claws scratched the ground. After gathering enough strength, I charged toward Albert in a straight line like an arrow.
Witnessing my action, Albert quickly regained his composure. He turned to say something to a servant-like figure, and the servant stepped forward to take Delia and a box from Albert, swiftly moving to the side.
By the time I reached Albert, he had already assumed a defensive posture.
However, Albert's defensive move was rushed. By the time he had assumed his position, I had lunged at him with fierce determination, biting down hard on his leg.
"Ouch!"
I heard Albert cry out in pain. Seeing this, the servant-like figure rushed over to assist Albert, but I swatted him away with my tail, sending him sprawling to the side, unable to move.
"Kral, you can't defeat me!"
As I was distracted by dealing with the servant's attack, Albert began chanting a spell, attempting to use magic against me.
"Kral, be careful!" I heard Alice shout, "Look at his pocket; there's a letter I gave him!"
Prompted by Alice, I immediately raised my eyes and saw a corner of a white envelope sticking out of Albert's pocket.
I knew that this letter was essential to Albert. I released my grip and extended my claws, attempting to reach into his pocket.
"No! No!" Albert, who had just begun to chant a spell, was now in disarray due to my actions. He ceased his incantation and took several steps backward, using all his might to protect his pocket.
However, his actions were somewhat delayed because I had bitten his leg just moments ago.
I lunged at him, and we wrestled for a while. In the end, Albert reached into another pocket, grabbed a handful of white powder, and threw it at my face.
The powder blinded my eyes. I coughed several times and shook my head vigorously to remove the white substance clinging to my fur.
After managing to get rid of most of the powder, I looked up to find Albert was no longer there.
I searched in all directions and spotted a figure darting away from the spot where the servant had placed the box.
The box was now gone, but Delia remained on the ground, unconscious.
"Kral, Albert has escaped," Alice informed me after witnessing everything, "He's injured, and I can go after him. Do you want me to do that?"
I didn't care about whatever was in the box that Albert had taken.
It might have been important to him, but my sole concern was to take Delia.
"He doesn't matter, Alice. Please help check on Delia's condition," I replied as I walked toward Delia, attempting to wake her. "Delia, please wake up."
"I'll have a look," Alice joined me by Delia's side, examining her condition. She then furrowed her brow and said, "Delia's chest wound is healing, but she's still very weak. I suspect she hasn't regained consciousness in the past few days."
This news weighed heavily on my heart. I was about to say something when I suddenly sensed a strong, bloody scent emanating from my mouth.
Simultaneously, a liquid began to flow. Lowering my head to look, I discovered that blood was streaming from my mouth, and the droplets splattered on the ground, a horrifying sight.
I had successfully driven Albert away, and now that I was more relaxed, my body no longer needed to be in combat mode.
However, because of this, I felt weaker than I did before transforming into a wolf. As a result, I began coughing up blood.
"Kral!" Alice noticed my condition, too. She raised my front paw and worriedly said, "Can you shift to human form? I'll tend to your injuries right away!"
"I'll be fine," I replied weakly. I couldn't afford to think about myself at the moment. My only concern was to wake Delia up as soon as possible.
"Alice, please tell me if there's any way to help Delia wake up quickly."
"There is a way, but it's risky," Alice hesitated, "The pearl on Delia's chest can protect her. If she swallows this pearl, there's a chance she'll wake up."
I glanced at the necklace on Delia's chest. It was different from the white pearl I remembered. The surface of this pearl was emitting a red light, which grew increasingly intense, as glaring as fresh blood.
"Then let's do it."
I approached Delia and propped my claws on either side of her body. I lowered my head, biting the pearl on Delia's neck.
I waited for a moment, and once I felt that the blood welling up in my mouth had enveloped the pearl, I slightly raised my head.
I kissed Delia's lips and used my tongue to pry her mouth open, forcibly stuffing the pearl into her mouth. 1
Simultaneously, I applied force with my body to channel the continuously flowing blood into Delia's mouth, letting her swallow the pearl with my blood.
Once I was sure that Delia had swallowed the pearl, I reluctantly released her lips.
My body was growing weaker with each passing moment. I staggered, nearly falling onto Delia.
"Kral!" Alice steadied me, looking at me with confusion.
"Your body is incredibly weak. Why did you give so much blood to Delia? You could have killed yourself!"
"I'll be fine..." I managed to say with my last ounce of strength.
"The blood flowing within me is that of the Lycan prince. My blood has a unique effect on regular werewolves. It can help Delia wake up faster..."
Before I could finish my sentence, everything went dark, and I collapsed, losing consciousness.
