125 Where Is Kral

Delia’s POV

It felt like I had a long dream. In the dream, I was floating in the sky.

I saw my mother, I saw Kral, and I saw Alen and Vivian.

I even saw Albert. In my dream, he wasn't a villain, just a pitiful man who couldn't have the one he loved.

I felt my eyelids heavy. I tried so hard to open my eyes, but it took a lot of effort to lift them just a tiny bit.

A blinding light shone through as I opened my eyes. I followed the light, slowly and tentatively lifting my eyelids.

I realized I was back in my own bedroom.

I touched the familiar bed, thinking of the happy days I had spent here, cuddling with Kral. Those were some of the best days of my life. My body felt a bit stiff. I tried to move my limbs, hoping to sit up by supporting myself with my hands.

But before I could do that, the bedroom door swung open.

I looked towards the door, where Vivian entered, carrying a tray of food.

"Delia!" Vivian hesitated for a moment and, upon realizing I was awake, she hurried into my room.

Placing the tray on the table, she came over to me and carefully helped me sit up.

"You're awake, dear! Thank god! I need to inform my master and Alen about this right away!"

Vivian helped me up and arranged several pillows to support me.

Once she made sure I was stable, she rushed out of the room.

"Vivian..." I tried to call her back, but she was too fast, and I couldn't catch her. It didn't take long for Vivian to return, accompanied by Alen and Susana.

There was also a middle-aged woman with them whom I didn't recognize. She looked quite familiar to Vivian, and I guessed she was Vivian's master, Alice.

Now, they all stood in my room, while the palace servants remained just outside the door. They couldn't enter my room, but they were all concerned, and everyone's gaze was fixed on me.

“Delia, you're finally awake!" Susana looked excited.

Wiping a tear from the corner of her eye, she said, "What would you like to eat? I'll make it for you. Anything you want!"

"I'd like something light, please, Susana," I smiled at her.

"Of course, I'll get right on it!" Susana left my room. Alen and Alice carefully inquired about how I was feeling.

I chatted with them while feeling strangely unsettled. All the people from the palace had come to see me, but where was Kral? When Susana brought the prepared food into my room, Vivian rolled up her sleeves.

"I'll feed Delia." I had initially thought I could eat by myself. But then I realized that since I had a good relationship with Vivian, if I asked her where Prince Kral was, she should tell me.

So I nodded.

"Thank you, Vivian."

"In that case, I won't disturb you."

"Me neither. Take care of yourself, Delia."

Alen and Alice bid me farewell, leaving only Vivian and me in the room. I could now ask her.

"Delia, come, this is cream of mushroom soup," Vivian said, sounding like she was coaxing a child. She ladled a spoonful and delicately brought it to my lips.

I had a sip of the soup and then asked, "Vivian, have I been asleep for a long time?"

"You've been in a coma for a month!" Vivian said excitedly in response to my question.

"I don't know what happened. When I woke up, I saw Kral and Alice by your side. You looked as if you were dead. Kral wasn't in good shape either. You both scared me so much. I'm just relieved you woke up!"

"Kral wasn't in good shape?" I quickly seized on this point, following up with, "I just met your master. Where is Kral?"

"Kral..." Vivian hesitated, her expression conflicted.

She seemed reluctant to tell me the truth.

"Delia, you'd better not ask. I can't say."

"You can't say? Then I'll find him myself." I realized that Vivian had concealed something very serious from me.

I immediately lifted the blanket, intending to get out of bed and find Kral.

"Delia, you're still very weak, and you can't move around like that!" Vivian panicked at the sight of me trying to get out of bed.

"Kral is in the Great Cave. No one can guide you there, and you won't find him!"

"Great Cave? What Great Cave?" I stopped in my tracks, demanding, "He's the Lycan Prince. How could he be in a cave?"

"I heard my master say that Kral shifted into his wolf form and fought Albert to save you. To save you, he even fed you his blood. Because of these actions, he nearly died and didn't have the strength to shift to his human form. Alen had to take him to that cave. It's said to be the place where the first Lycan King trained. Each descendant of the Lycan King, when at their weakest, goes to that cave. It's a sanctuary for the Lycan Kings," Vivian explained.

"No, I have to see Kral!" Vivian's words made me desperate.

I tightly held her hand and said, "Vivian, I love Kral. He saved me, and now he's on the brink of death. I can't abandon him. You understand, right?"

"I think you're right!" Vivian was convinced by my plea.

She released my hand and said, "Delia, wait for me here. I'll go find Alen and have him take us to the cave."

Vivian left my room. I quickly ate, replenishing some energy.

Soon, she returned with Alen. I didn't know how Vivian had convinced Alen, but he didn't object to my desire to go to the cave.

He arranged a carriage and took me towards the cave. The journey to the cave was long. During the ride, I spoke with Alen, catching up on everything that had happened while I was unconscious.

After hearing about Albert fleeing with the box containing my mother's heart, I became concerned and asked Alen if he knew where Albert was.

"Albert should have returned to the vampire kingdom. However, before that, something happened," Alen explained.

"According to my subordinates' reports, Albert ran into your father on his way back home. Your father managed to escape from prison somehow. Albert held a deep grudge against your father and bit his neck, draining him of his blood, before tossing him into the river."

Learning that Albert had bitten my father to death and thrown him into the river, I felt no remorse.

I even thought it was a shame that Albert hadn't done it sooner.

"Albert truly cared about your mother. He took the box with your mother's heart and buried it beneath the lemon tree where they first met," Alen explained.

"This information didn't come from my subordinates. It was what Alice saw through the magic mirror. In any case, your mother's heart has found a resting place. I believe it was her wish."

Hearing that Albert had sincerely honored my mother's heart eased my worries somewhat. However, my concerns for Kral's well-being continued to grow.

The carriage fell into silence. After what felt like a long journey, the carriage finally came to a halt. Alen opened the door and, after surveying the surroundings, said, "Delia, we've arrived."

"Thank you, Alen."

I stepped out of the carriage and scanned the area for any signs of the cave. However, all I saw in front of me was a steep cliff. 0

"Alen, where is the cave?" I turned to Alen and asked.

"Delia, the cave is at the bottom of the cliff," Alen pointed at the steep drop before me. "You'll need to transform into a wolf and leap from here to find the cave's entrance."

Taking a deep breath, I mustered all my strength and forced myself to transform into a wolf. I gazed at the seemingly bottomless cliff and, without hesitation, leaped off it.

Though the drop was deep and pitch black, the cliff wasn't entirely smooth. I clung to the protruding rocks and branches on the cliff's face, making my way downward.

After a while, I reached the cliff's base. I searched for the cave's entrance and quickly found an inconspicuous cave with a faint candlelight inside.

I ran towards it as fast as I could. As I entered the cave, I saw Kral's wolf lying there, still unconscious.

He hadn't awakened yet, and his body bore various injuries. I closely examined the wounds on his body, feeling my eyes well up with tears.

I reached out with my paw and tightly encircled Kral. I made up my mind that I would stay here, waiting to guard and be with him.

No matter how much time it took for him to wake up, I was determined to wait. I believed my mother's spirit and the guardian spirit would approve of my decision.
