10 A Price For My Husband
Sibyl’s POV
I went back to our yard alone and sat under the vine and began to think.
Nuri's going to the south, near the witch's shrine.
I have dreamed of that place countless times in my dreams because it is said that my mom came from there.
My mom died when I was born, so I had no memory of her, and no one in the palace dared to say her name. It was only when I was 12 that my adoptive mother Meggie whispered a few words about my mother.
“I've never met your mom, and I don't know her name. But by the time I came to the palace, she had become a taboo. I only remember that she came from the south, near the witch's Holy Land...”
Maybe if I go there, I can find my mother's family, I can know my mother's name.
Before I got married, I always planned to escape the palace with my brother after I turned 18, but now that I'm stuck in marriage at Rodriguez Castle, I don't know when I'll be able to fulfill my dream...
Wait! If Nuri could take me with him...
The idea excited me, and my hands trembled uncontrollably.
If I could find my family...
But the difficulties I faced were unimaginable, and Nuri would not have granted my request.
I thought hard with my chin in my hands.
I must find a way.
Dragon scale, dragon scale... I've got an idea.

The Sun was about to set at dusk. The setting sun dyed the sky a golden color, and the whole capital seemed to be a fairyland of fantasy.
However, I was not in the mood to enjoy the sunset. I took a carriage to the army at Nuri.
Nuri is leaving for the South Tomorrow, and I must see him tonight.
When the gatekeeper heard that I was Nuri's wife, he bowed respectfully and took me to Nuri's camp.
“Your Grace, this way, please. Rodriguez is in the main camp.”
Just as I was about to go in, two men came out. They are the men I saw at the castle today, the wise men and the chief.
They seem to have just finished talking to Nuri.
The young, bearded knight-in-chief glared at me again, as if I had made a mistake in being here, and the wise man smiled at me.
I didn't have time to pay attention to their attitude, so I hurried into the tent.
The tents in the army were primitive. Nuri's tall body sat on a square table in the middle. His Vulcan bow was hanging on the wall behind him, and he was wearing an Amour, studying a map that looked like the king of war.
There was a row of candles in the room, and the flickering light left a shadow on his face, making it even harder for me to see the expression on his face.
I took a deep breath and sat silently across from him.
He raised his eyebrows and looked at me, then looked down at the map.
“Women are not allowed in our tent. That's my rule.”
“I have something to tell you about the dragon scale.”
He glanced at me. “It's none of your business.”
“I know a lot of people claim that they have dragon scales on their hands and that some of the fakes are difficult to identify.”
He didn't speak. I took a deep breath and continued, “I know how to tell the difference.”
He sneered. “As far as I know, no one knows how to tell the dragon scales apart from the chief witch who lives in the south. The only written books have also been burned.”
“I read that book before it burned.” I looked up and met Nuri's eyes.
His eyes were calm, but there was a power of oppression. “Do you know the price of lying to me?”
“I know, I dare not lie to you. I will help you to distinguish the real dragon scale from the fake ones, but I have one request.”
He looked at me in surprise, then his face became serious.
“Say it.”
“I want to go to the south with you. It is said that my mother is from there, so I want to find out some news about her.”
Nuri's inquisitive eyes slowly scanned me. He touched his chin and said in a low voice, “What makes you think you're qualified to make a deal with me?”
“I --” I bit my lip. I didn't have what it took to impress him.
“Or do you have something else to offer?”
His eyes moved from my face to my chest.
I was puzzled for a few seconds, and then it dawned on me.
My face turned red with nervousness. I'm wearing a new dress that Carol bought me. It's gorgeous, elegant, and expensive, but it's also very... ... sexy, showing off my curves and b.oobs.
In the dim room, Nuri's overbearing and ambiguous eyes looked at me again. His eyes made me feel like I was completely naked.
I had no bargaining power, my hand clenched under my sleeve. I leaned over the table and kissed him on the lips.
I remember on our wedding night he used to kiss me on the lips like crazy, so I guess kissing would make him happy.
His eyes widened with surprise. My lips pressed against his, and the room fell silent for a moment.
I can hear my rapid heartbeat.
Suddenly he smiled, kicked the table between us, and carried me to the mat behind him.
It all happened so fast that I realized I was under him.
“You don't know how to kiss,” he muttered.
Then he kissed me deeply, bit my lip with his teeth, and put his tongue into my mouth.
I couldn't help but let out a groan.
Oh, my God, is that me?
I felt shy and wriggled to get rid of him.
However, he was more excited, his kiss deeper and deeper, and his hand pulled my clothes.
I gasped, “Please...” 0
He looked up at me and said in a rapid gasp, “You don't want to?”
My mouth was finally free, and as I gasped for air, I cautiously responded, “No, I'm ready.”
He smiled, then picked me up and put me to bed.
He lost his composure and became as impatient as a big boy. He quickly undressed me, and I tensed up, turning my head away from his eyes.
Relax, Sibyl. I told myself. Nuri is my husband, and I will accept it.
He looked at me with interest, and then he whispered in my ear, “Has anyone ever taught you how to do it in bed?”
My eyes were blank, and I couldn't remember any of those strange premarital lessons.
I shook my head blankly.
He had a look of tenderness on his face. I even thought I was hallucinating.
His breath was hot and he was holding back something, his hand slowly running down my body.
He touched my v.ulva and caressed it.
My body shivered and my garden got wet.
I can't think anymore...
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
“Sir Nuri Rodriguez, Here comes Manolo.”
“Get out!” Nuri growled.
The noise outside the door died away.
Interrupted twice in a row at the most critical point, Nuri was so angry that he pulled down his trousers and prepared to take my virginity in a violent manner.
It was not the same as his gentleness. I was afraid. I pushed him hard. “He might have something important to say.”
The knock on the door completely ruined our atmosphere.
Nuri recovered his indifference, got up, dressed, and left.

Nuri’s POV
As I walked out of the tent, I came to my senses.
I thought I had married a weak or evil wife. After all, she came from the palace. But what she said to me just now made me look at her again.
She seemed docile but had a mind of her own and knew how to use her advantage to negotiate with me.
No other woman dared to bargain with me except her.
What surprised me more was that she had read the book about Golden Dragon and knew how to tell the difference between real and fake Dragon scales.
All the noble ladies in the capital were devoted to marriage and jewelry, and I had never heard of a lady who cared about such ancient and important knowledge.
I have to face the fact that my wife is not a simple princess. Her appearance and personality interested me.
The royal family gave me a woman who suits my taste.
If I hadn't been interrupted, I would have made her my real wife by now.
I feel irritable, but what makes me even more irritable is my complex feelings for her.
No woman has occupied my attention as much as she has.
I should have hated her, but I didn't.
