27 Share My Husband With Her

Sibyl’s POV

A breeze came and I smelled a very nice scent.

The smell was light, mixed with the scent of roses and Lily of the valley, and a hint of post-rain grass. I sniffed, OH, it also has the smell of the Phoenix Flower.

The Phoenix Flower is a nearly extinct flower. It is very strict with the temperature, light and humidity of the living environment, so it is difficult for them to survive. But their flowers are extremely beautiful and give off a fascinating smell.

The Queen tried to grow the Phoenix Flower in the palace. Many servants took turns to look after them, but they died anyway. Only a few merchants have grown them in glass greenhouses. These flowers are even more expensive than gold.

I never thought the Windsor family would use such a precious flower as an ingredient in their fragrance, just to make their daughter more attractive.

The luxurious life of Azariah Windsor is beyond my imagination.

A crisp sound came from the silver bells, and then a woman's delicate laugh, “I'm late.”

The maid took away the peacock feather fan in front of the woman. A girl with delicate make-up and an elegant temperament appeared in front of me.

As a princess, even if my life is not luxurious, I have seen many noble women, but I have never seen such a girl. Everything about her, from her hair to her nails, was carefully tended. Her make-up and jewelry are the latest and most expensive. Her sumptuous dress fitted the curves of her body, revealing a slender waist with a full chest. Her eyes are very big, and her nose and mouth are very small. All the parts are in line with everyone's definition of beauty. Every expression on her face was standard, elegant and warm.

She was born of the word aristocrat. By contrast, my casual manner was somewhat informal.

“Is Sibyl Here?” Azariah asked with a smile.

“She's here.” The women couldn't wait to see me fight her.

I sighed quietly, smiled, and said, “Congratulations on your coming of age.”

She slowly approached me, eyes on me, scanning.

She took my hand, “Oh, you're Sibyl. Nice to meet you. I wasn't feeling well and went to the beach to recuperate, so I didn't come to your wedding. I hope you can forgive me.”

A lot of people didn't come to my wedding because everyone knew it wasn't a blessed wedding. I don't care, but I'm going to continue the pleasantries with Azariah. “That's all right. I hope you're healthy.”

Azariah took my hand and said a lot of things to me, including jewelry, perfume and clothes, as if we were best friends. I don't want to talk to her too much, but I have to deal with her with social graces.

Slowly, many women around us.

In the upper classes, Azariah was the center of women's social circles. Everyone wants to hear what she said about fashion.

“Pink eye shadow is out of fashion. I now like to grind irises into powder to make light blue eye shadow. It's not only a nice color, but also has a faint fragrance.”

The women nodded. Oh, the price of irises in the shop will go up tomorrow.

“But don't use it when you're newly married. It can affect your chances of conceiving.”

Azariah's eyes looked at me.

Everyone's eyes followed her as she looked at me.

A woman said in a relaxed tone, “Princess Sibyl should not worry about this. Oh, Sibyl, how do you do contraception?”

I was embarrassed to be looked at by so many eyes. Without thinking, I replied, “I don't have birth control.”

I felt like I had said the wrong word again, because the women around me were unhappy again.

“Sir Rodriguez is going to have an heir soon, isn't he?” A woman asked me in a strange tone.

I felt very uncomfortable and wanted to push them away and go to a place where no one was around to catch my breath. “I don't know...”

Azariah blinked and smiled at me. “You're so lucky.”

I don't understand what she means by this sentence.

Fortunately, a maid came up with some cakes. The strange and awkward atmosphere eased.

After eating the cake, the ceremony was held.

In our country, when a girl comes of age, there is usually a small ceremony where an elder female gives her an adult hairstyle. It means that she is mature enough to get married and have children.

Azariah Windsor had a big ceremony. In one hall, she knelt before the idol and took off the gold and jeweler hairpins from her hair, letting the hair fall down. Her mother stood behind her, brushing her hair with a silver comb.

On her first day of adulthood, Azariah was blessed to have a mother to comb her hair. I didn't celebrate my coming of age because my 18th birthday and wedding were so close, and the Queen didn't want to hold any parties or ceremonies for me.

If only my mother or my adoptive mother Meggie were around, they would be happy to comb my hair.

I looked down sadly.

However, my sadness was interpreted in another way by other women.

The woman sitting next to me glanced at me and whispered, “You're sad, aren't you? Azariah is a woman with all the advantages, and no woman wants to share a husband with her. If you're smart, you'll have a baby before she marries Nuri. That way, even if your husband snubs you later, you still have someone to rely on, not to be abandoned.”

I looked back at her, then back at Azariah.

Everyone agreed that Azariah would marry Nuri and she would replace me as Mrs. Rodriguez.

I feel a lump in my throat. I don't want to be here any longer.

By the time the ceremony was over, I was relieved that the ordeal was almost over.

Azariah Windsor has a gift for each guest. Apart from special friends of the Windsor family, guests can leave after receiving the gifts.

I motioned to Amy to get the carriage ready, and I couldn't wait to get out of the place.

But Mrs. Windsor kept me. “Princess Sibyl, it's a pleasure to meet you today. May I have the honor of offering you a cup of tea?”

They never called me Mrs. Rodriguez.

As a social courtesy, I had to promise her.

She took me to a perfumed room where Azariah was sitting at a table, making perfume.

“There you are.” She glanced at me as if greeting an old friend.

“Don't be rude, Azariah,” Mrs. Windsor said with a smile. “Princess Sibyl is a few months older than you, and she married Sir Rodriguez first. You have to respect her.”

“Mommy.” Azariah hugged Mrs. Windsor. “Am I only second wife to Nuri?”

Mrs. Windsor stroked Azariah's back lovingly and said to me, “I'm sorry I spoiled her. Let me get this straight. Sir Rodriguez and my daughter were engaged six years ago, and we were going to marry them when she came of age, but there was an accident.”

Mrs. Windsor paused. I knew I was what she called an“Accident”.

“I love my daughter very much. She grew up with no grievances, so I wasn't going to let her share the same man with you. But my daughter loves Nuri, and she insists on being his bride. I couldn't bear to break her heart, so I nodded.”

“My wedding to Nuri was decided by the Queen...” my words were pale.

“I have discussed this with the Queen. Generally speaking, a man can only have one wife, and other women can only be concubines. But Nuri was a hero, and the Queen agreed that he could have two wives. When my daughter marries him, you will both be his wives. How about that?”

Mrs. Windsor's words were so oppressive that I never had a chance to say no.

“My Sister, I hope we get along well,” Azariah said, blinking her large eyes as she handed me a glass of wine. 2

I took the glass of wine. She took her glass, touched mine, and downed it in one gulp.

I looked at the glass of wine, holding back tears, drank it in one shot.

.

I've never had a drink. I feel my throat burning. Under the action of alcohol, my tears flowed out.

Although they spoke in polite terms, their attitude was so high that it seemed to tell me that the real Mrs. Rodriguez could only be her.

My head is spinning. I feel the world spinning before my eyes.

“I want to go home.” My hands were on the table to support my shaking body.

“My Sister, why are you in such a hurry to get home? Don't you want to talk to me? We're going to be a family soon.” Azariah held my hand tightly.
