15 So Itchy

I didn't sleep well.0

In my dream, I was trapped in a lake. I feel my skin wet. I wanted to struggle, but my limbs were weak. The smell of vampires and the terrible face were still in front of me. I squirmed my body uneasily, and then I felt a cool sensation in my body. I try to breathe. The vampire's face in front of me began to blur...

So itchy...

I feel as if a kitten is scratching my calf with its tail. I felt a little itchy, unconsciously shrunk my body, and then the cat stopped for a moment, and then a large hand covered my calf.

Wait, a large hand?

I awoke suddenly. A pair of golden eyes were looking intently into mine. Still in a daze, I blinked, not comprehending what had happened. Kral gently brushed back the strands of hair that were stuck to his forehead, and the intimacy of the gesture brought me back to my senses.

I sprang up and looked around.

"Where am I, master?" I subconsciously leaned back to keep some distance from him. Lycan's breath is sometimes too strong for me to bear.

"We were in a cottage in the country. We were attacked by vampires, do you remember?"

"I remember." I nodded.

"We're safe now, but we still have enemies in the shadows," Kral said, handing me a glass of water.

I silently bowed my head to drink the water.

"We're going to stay here for a few days and wait for our enemies to show up," Kral said, sitting in his chair and tapping his fingers on the table as if he had everything under control.

Suddenly I'm not nervous. As long as Kral is around, I think we're going to win.

I began to look at the house. This is a shabby room. The floor and walls are made of wood. The only furniture is a bed, a table and some chairs. There is some mould on the wall, maybe a spider web in the corner. In a word, it hasn't been used for a long time.

The one saving grace of the room was the clean bed.

"Would you like some more water? You were sweating a lot in your dream," Kral said in a nonchalant tone.

Oh, yes, I remember my body was wet in the dream.

I quickly lowered my head to check my body. Oh, my God! What happened? I was wearing nothing but a men's tunic. Where are my clothes?

And this tunic has a royal mark on the collar. No wonder I woke up to find the smell of Lycan around me much stronger.

"My, my clothes?" I stammered nervously.

Kral stood up and looked around the room casually. "Your clothes were wet. I took them off."

I held the quilt. "Can I have my clothes back?"

"They're dirty. I had Alen buy you new clothes. Oh, and some underwear."

Am I not wearing underwear?

I think my face must be burning again. Kral undressed me. Does that mean...

Oh, Moon Goddess, please make me faint right now.

But Kral seems to be in a good mood. He took a few steps towards me and then stopped. "You call me master, so I am responsible for your health."

What does this have to do with my health?

My head is almost buried in the quilt.

"If I don't clean you up in time, you'll get sick," Kral pauses as we dine in the forest tonight. As soon as you get dressed, you'll join us."

"OK..." my voice is smaller than the mosquito.

Wait, what? Clean me up?

...

As night fell, I dressed and crept out of the hut into the forest ahead.

Alen lights a fire and cooks food while Kral sits on a rock and wipes his dagger.

I looked at Kral's back, chose to ignore him, and walked to the carriage next to him.

Fortunately, the carriage was strong enough. It was not damaged, which meant I could continue to sit in it for the rest of my journey without facing awkward situations.

There is no moon tonight. The woods nearby may be sparsely populated by birds and animals. The night is silent. I breathe slowly and wait for a special moment.

At night, the horses are tethered to the trees by Alen, the campfire burns out, the dark shadows encroach on the carriage, and Kral closed his eyes, arms folded, breathing evenly, as if in a deep sleep.

But I knew he did not. His cloak was not off, and a long knife lay under his head.

Buzz!

A long arrow shot through the door, and I opened my eyes only to see a flash of bright light coming towards me.

I didn't expect the killing intent to be so strong. The arrow was too fast, and there was not enough room in the carriage for me to hide. At that moment, I felt a deep chill in my hands and feet.

"Bang!"

The next moment, the arrow was split in two before my eyes. I turned to Kral, who was standing with the knife. He held the knife in both hands, the light of the knife reflected in his deep eyes, and his golden eyes had a dangerous desire to kill.

"Don't get out of the carriage," he whispered as he turned his head and threw his cape over me. Then he opened the door and walked outside.

"Your Highness!" I didn't have time to stop him but only saw his back. Then I heard the wild cries outside and the sounds of knives.

"Bang! "A steady stream of arrows shot at the carriage. The tail feather of the arrow pierced the carriage in all directions, making a vibrating sound. Relying on the strength of the carriage, I hid in a corner and covered my body with a cloak.

"Kill that man! For the gold!"

"Kill him! For the gold."

"Let's go, boys! Let's go!"

I looked out through the broken glass window, and suddenly there were a lot of werewolves in the silent forest, some with horses and knives, some with torches, some came rushing with bows and arrows. The night was mixed with the fire, and their faces were blurry. Only the hungry green eyes of the werewolves could be seen, like clusters of green fireflies floating on a pile of corpses.

Despite their numbers, Kral still has the upper hand. The long knife in his hand kept swinging, and the werewolves fell one by one. I could hear the dull sound of flesh being slashed.

There are bodies everywhere that were killed by Kral. The red blood stained his clothes. He kicked with his long legs, and a werewolf who was sitting on the horse fell to the ground. He flipped over and sat on the horse, and the long knife in his hand glowed with an ominous red light in the flames.

The forest was quiet again. It was a one-sided slaughter for the fallen werewolves.
