50 A Man Appeared With A Corpse
The green flames that were floating in the air began to fall. Suddenly, a strong wind was blowing, and the leaves were being rolled up in huge clumps. The dim starlight of the sky shone through the gaps in the leaves and onto the ground. 2
The flames are in pairs. Under the dim light and shadow, many Bone Wolves appeared in my sight. In groups of three or five, they kept howling at the sky in a howling cry.
"Ow! Ow!"
The Bone Wolves moved their white bone claws around us cunningly. They separated me and Catherine.
"This time, let me see if you can survive on your own strength, Delia."
Catherine glanced at me. The familiar look of contempt reminded me of the day I first met her. With that, she shifted into a wolf, her bright red hair beating in the woods. Half of the wolves immediately rushed to her.
What do I do? ! I ask myself.
This will be the most helpless moment I have ever experienced in the face of danger. No one can help me. I can only rely on myself. There are only two choices in front of me, success or death.
My hands were shaking, my legs were weak with fear, and I was rooted in place. The Bone Wolves with green eyes opened their fangs. There were about eight or nine of them, fanning out in front of me, leaning down, sniffing the ground, cautiously closing in on me.
I stared at the lead wolf, trying to put on a brave face. I slowly lower my body. My right hand touched my calf. A long, cold object was slowly drawn out. A sharp, cold light illuminated the skulls of the wolves.
"Come on!"
I bellowed and rushed to the head wolf. The dagger in my hand is my sharpest fangs. The wolves dispersed, and the wolf at the front arched up. His mouth bellowed menacing noises, and his rotting face was covered with a raised nose, revealing drooling fangs.
I only get one chance, I guess.
I got up and jumped. In an instant, the wolf was afraid of the cold gleaming dagger in my hand. He leaped sideways, avoiding my rush in his direction.
Now!
I took off the bell Vivian had given me on my wrist and threw it back, praying that what Vivian had said had better be true, and then a loud noise came from behind me.
'Not only can this bell help us have a secret conversation, but it can also become something you see in a day, but only for a little while.'
I turned to look, several wolves were crushed by the boulder. Their rotting fur could not cover the bones of their bodies, and they shattered and scattered all over the ground.
However, several agile wolves jumped over the boulder and escaped the attack, including the head wolf. The fire in his eyes trembled with anger, and his claws made deep marks on the ground.
"Ow!"
The head wolf was bigger than the others. He suddenly raised his head to the sky and let out a long howl across the valley. The rest of the wolves followed his cry, raising their necks and howling bitterly.
"wooo!"
"woooooo!"
I listened to the howls of the wolves with horror. Ghostly green flames reappeared in the darkness with the howling of wolves. The flames seemed to be guided, drifting toward me and falling. My heart was beating frantically. The remaining reason in my mind suppressed the fear in my heart and issued the only command: Run!
Faster! Faster!
In the Black Forest, I used up all the strength in my limbs and blood, frantically squeezed all my potential, and ran all the way along the direction of the tombstone. The constant howling of wolves behind me filled my ears, and the dagger in my hand reflected the flames floating in the air as they pursued me.
Sweat soaked through my clothes. My calves were full of soreness, my nose and throat were a little bloody, but I didn't pull away from the wolves behind me. The tombstones on either side were long and I couldn't see the end of them.
Despair is creeping into my heart. I can't help but think, am I really going to die here?
When I didn't see it at all, a vine lying on the ground in the road caught me.
"Ah!"
I tripped and fell. No! I can't die! I immediately turned over and put the dagger in my hand against the head wolf's open fangs!
Sweat soaked my hair and the rotten fur of the head wolf almost touched my face. His sharp teeth gripped the dagger. His bite was beyond my imagination, and I saw the blade begin to bend slightly. The rest of the wolves surrounded me. The floating green flame gradually fell to the ground and solidified into a new wolf.
One by one, the Bone Wolves surrounded me. I found sadly that there was no escape for me.
I can't get away!
I watched in horror as the dagger broke in the head wolf's mouth. The sanity of my mind was fading away, and despair was engulfing me, and I used the last of my strength to kick him hard in the stomach. However, all my feet touched was a stiff, solid bone. My attack did nothing but provoke him.
The head wolf's throat made a terrible noise. I can even smell the rot coming out of his mouth. I immediately tried to run on my hands and feet, but he bit my ankle. His teeth cut into my leg like steel knives. A drop of blood fell to the ground and the bright red color covered my calves. The sharp pain broke my tears.
The pack of wolves that surrounded me came towards me, and then my eyes went black and I fainted from the pain.
……
Am I dead? I ask myself.
I was still in my white dress, not a scratch on me. I looked around blankly and saw that it was still the Land of Glory full of tombstones, but it was day.
The great sun was in the sky. The sunlight poured down, and every leaf reflected a dazzling golden light. I walked everywhere in the valley, running my hands through every tree trunk and every tombstone, but there was nothing there.
I'll stay here. The invisible barrier locked me in. I couldn't go anywhere. I have no happiness, no sorrow, forget the time, like a forgotten wandering soul.
Suddenly, the sun darkened and dark clouds covered the valley. The great gate appeared again, and a man appeared with a corpse in his arms.
He was supposed to be a handsome man, and even though he was extremely disfigured and unkempt, it was hard to ignore his handsome features.
I watched him walk sadly, his eyes blank and hopeless. In his arms was the corpse of a woman as bright as the Moon. Her long hair was falling down, her eyes were closed, and she was lying in the man's arms in a gorgeous golden dress, beautiful as a lifeless doll.
Then I saw the hideous gash on her long white neck.
It was as if she had been attacked by a giant beast, with a long wound that ran almost through her neck. Perhaps someone couldn't bear it, so they sewed it up tightly with black thread, but I could still tell how badly she was hurt.
Why would anyone want to hurt such a beautiful woman? I followed them with curiosity.
The man can't see me. He can't see anything. He walked in a daze, always tripping over the vine on the ground, but every time he fell to the ground he hugged the woman in his arms tightly.
I watched him walk slowly into the valley. He passed several headstones, and finally reached the latest one.
He placed the woman gently on the ground, and then he shifted into a black wolf with golden eyes and quietly began to dig.
The wolf looked very tired. He looked at the woman every time he dug, as if he was afraid that someone would take away his treasure. The wolf's hair had faded. I could see the old scars on his body, but his claws were still sharp. He quickly dug a hole. Then he picked up the branches from the ground and found some more vines, which he placed at the bottom of the pit like a small bed.
The wolf put the woman in the grave and lay her down on the vine and the golden leaves. Then he lay down beside her and hugged her tightly with his arms and legs. He made a blanket for her with his hair and his tail.
It's like they're asleep.
Time suddenly speeded up. I stood and watched as the tears in the wolf's eyes and his breathing slowly stopped. Dust fell on their faces and their fur rotted with their dresses.
I sat on a branch by the grave and watched everything in silence. As they sank into complete darkness, a low sigh rang in my ear, "Go away, don't stay here. Someone is waiting for you."
Kral's tooth are starting to warm up around my ankles. I looked blankly at the tombstone, which read, "Here lies King Adam and Queen Caroline ."
In a small corner, engraved with the words: “May they rest in peace. Kral--their only child.”
