"Mother!" Zhao Youxi had been holding back to herself for most of the day. She managed to hold herself back until Zhao Shuncheng went upstairs to change his clothes. She finally had some private time with Li Hongyu. She complained sullenly, "How could you suggest that Father fetch that wench back to the Zhao family?! Isn't it good to let her fend for herself outside? Have you forgotten how we went through so much trouble to kick her out? How could you help her get back home now?!"0

Li Hongyu looked at her anxious daughter and patted her hand lovingly. She said, "Youxi, I'm not helping that wench, I'm just helping you and your younger brother."

"Helping me and my younger brother?" Zhao Youxi froze. The doubt in her eyes grew deeper.

Li Hongyu's eyes sparkled. She raised her head and swept her glance across the surroundings. After she was assured that no one was around them, she lowered her voice and said, "Did you forget that that wench still has five percent of Zhao Enterprise's shares in her hand?"

Li Hongyu grew immensely furious. Back then, she had a hard time bringing down Zhao Youlin's mother and emerged as Madam Zhao from her previous status as a shady mistress. Originally, she thought she had already risen like a phoenix from the ashes, only to realize that it all was but superficial success.

The Zhao family had three siblings in total. Master Zhao's shareholdings were distributed evenly among them, except that the eldest brother had slightly more than the rest. He occupied 12% shares of the Zhao Enterprise. Meanwhile, the second brother and youngest brother, along with their wives were each given 5%. In other words, each family occupied 10% of the shares.

Back in those days, Li Hongyu thought she would gain 5% shares after Zhao Youlin's mother had passed away after marrying into the Zhao family. Little had she expected Master Zhao transferred that 5% of shares to Zhao Youlin when it was supposed to be hers.

In fact, she and her children did not have any shares at all. The titles held by herself and her children as Madam Mu, Miss Mu and Young Master Zhao were all in vain. 

As such, Li Hongyu and Zhao Youxi had hated Zhao Youlin for many years. They even dreamt of getting back the shares that they believed to be theirs instead.

Unfortunately, Zhao Youlin was still very young at that time. The 5% shares were temporarily kept under Master Zhao's custody. No matter how much they had wanted it, they could not find a way to scoop it out of Zhao Youlin's hand.

It was not until Zhao Youlin turned sixteen years old and was about to have her coming of age party when she would be getting her 5% shares from Master Zhao. It also happened to coincide with her clinging to the Mu family.

As a result, the 5% shares undoubtedly served as Zhao Youlin's engagement gift. Zhao Youlin had the shares with her until she married into the Mu family. As such, Li Hongyu and her daughter had never seen those shares even once. 

Li Hongyu hated Zhao Youlin's guts. To complicate things further, Zhao Youlin's partner had a powerful background. Even if Li Hongyu had God with her, she also dared not grab her shares right before the Mu family. As time passed, she gradually let go of this desire.

Little did she expect Zhao Youlin to divorce Mu Tingfeng so soon.

In Li Hongyu's eyes, the moment Zhao Youlin departed from the Mu family's protection, she was a stray kitten without an owner. So, Li Hongyu's deepest desire was once again triggered, and she decided to grab the shares from Zhao Youlin.

"Mother, what you mean is…" After hearing Li Hongyu's words, what else could she not understand? 

Li Hongyu smiled faintly, "Now, we can't do anything yet because she's staying outside. After she comes back to the Zhao family, she's ours."

Zhao Youxi's eyes sparkled. She wrapped her arms around Li Hongyu's. She smiled as she said, "Mother, you've planned everything."

Li Hongyu smiled and did not speak anything further. She was thinking of a way to scoop the shares out of Zhao Youlin's hand. Meanwhile, Zhao Youxi thought that she stood a greater chance now since Zhao Youlin had truly divorced Mu Tingfeng.

Each had their own thoughts, and they were entirely different from each other.
