A crisp slap rang in the pet shop. Everyone's hearts shuddered.1

Xia Zhetao drew in a cold breath. He gritted his teeth and took a few steps back. The next moment, he realized that it was remiss of his part to do so. So, he quickly went up to his superior's side and asked with trepidation, "P-President Mu… are you alright?"

'Oh, dear! Someone on Earth actually dared slap President Mu! A-Ah…! Why did this trip down to the pet shop turn into a horror movie?! My eyes must be deceiving me. This doesn't make sense at all!' 

Mu Tingfeng was equally stunned the moment he was slapped mercilessly by Zhao Youlin. As far as he was concerned, no one had ever dared to slap him ever since he was born in this world.

Mu Tingfeng's expression darkened. He was about to burst out in anger. However, he was immediately startled when he noticed the bruises on Zhao Youlin's shoulder. He said, "Y-You…"

"What are you looking at?! Let go of me!" Zhao Youlin was truly furious at Mu Tingfeng.

She could disregard the fact that the idiot had accidentally pulled down her sleeve. After all, she had vented her anger by giving him a slap, at the very least.

'But why is this idiot still grabbing hold of me and staring at my exposed arm?! Why didn't I realize in the past that this idiot was actually a pervert in sheep's clothing?!'

Mu Tingfeng instantly returned to his senses as soon as Zhao Youlin yelled at him. He hurriedly let go. The sweater returned to its original position and covered her exposed skin.

Immediately after, his hand swiftly slid down and he grabbed Zhao Youlin's wrist. He asked with a fury that he did not even know he was capable of, "What happened to your arm?" 

Xia Zhetao had been anticipating his ill-tempered superior bursting into flames. However, he nearly thought he was dreaming upon hearing those words.

'President Mu, why are you asking this?! I thought you've always been cold, merciless and domineering? Don't you think you changed a bit too quickly?! Something's wrong… something is truly not right!'

Zhao Youlin was caught off guard by Mu Tingfeng's abrupt question. It took a while before she came back to her senses. She looked at Mu Tingfeng incredulously and said, "President Mu, you're butting your nose into too many things. Let go of me!" 

Zhao Youlin used all her might to shake off Mu Tingfeng's hand. However, she felt as if her wrist had been handcuffed by his hand. She could not move it at all.

Zhao Youlin's expression darkened. She hurriedly freed her hand from Joy's and swung a fist at Mu Tingfeng's face.

Unfortunately, Mu Tingfeng seemed to have sensed this coming. He agilely grabbed the fist rushing at him and asked in a low voice, "Let me ask you again, what happened to your arm?" 

Zhao Youlin was shocked by their brief physical contests. 'T-This man is so powerful that I couldn't free my wrist from him, let alone fight back.' One had to know that yesterday, she had just fought with those bodyguards and managed to settle them with ease. However, today, she did not even stand a chance. 'Is he a monster or what?!'

Although Zhao Youlin was struck dumb, not even the slightest hint of surprise appeared on her face. She snickered and said, "Young Master Mu, President Mu, have you forgotten that we divorced two days ago?! Ever since then, I no longer have any relationship with you! Don't you think you're butting your nose into too many of my affairs by asking this?!"

Right after Zhao Youlin spoke, before Mu Tingfeng said anything, Xia Zhetao looked like he was about to go into shock. 

'Divorced?! This woman had just divorced President Mu two days ago... C-Could she be the legendary former Mrs. President?!'
