The bodyguards in black suits paused mid-step when they heard the rebuke. A small part of the sharp tip of the hairpin placed against Zhao Youxi's neck by Zhao Youlin had already pierced into her skin. 1

Blood flowed down along Zhao Youxi's fair neck. The mixture of red and light colors created an indescribable visual impact.

"Cheh! How dare you come to find fault with me with that spineless body of yours. You're just asking for death," Zhao Youlin snickered. The hairpin that was about to pierce her rested at a finger distance from Zhao Youxi's side face. 

It was truly a fingertip away! Zhao Youlin blocked the end of the tip with her finger at the nick of time to stop it. Otherwise, Zhao Youxi's face would have been scarred by now. 

Zhao Youlin slightly relaxed her grip on Zhao Youxi's wrist. Zhao Youxi slid down weakly on the floor. She gasped for air in a low voice. Her eyes were full of gratitude and fear in the aftermath of the shock.

After a while, Zhao Youxi gradually recovered from it. Her gaze slowly changed from gratitude to resentment and gloom. She looked at Zhao Youlin and her bodyguards. A scheming look appeared in her eyes. 

Zhao Youlin noticed Zhao Youxi's reaction. She sneered and exposed her scheme without hesitation, "You were already an idiot and before you become worse, stop playing tricks now. The last time your parents came, they brought along more people than yours. Today, I want to give a word of advice to you and your mother, if you wish to live longer, you should know when to quit. Now, I'm no longer someone whom you all can afford to mess with."
