Su He blinked. She pondered it over for a brief moment before she gave a nod. Only then did Ye Yan slowly pull his hand away from Su He's mouth.

She turned her head around and looked at the tightly shut door. When she was convinced that her scream had not attracted the attention of the people downstairs, she silently heaved a sigh of relief.

The accident happened all of a sudden and caught the two off guard. Ye Yan gave everything he had to protect Su He in his arms. 

A dull thud rang, and they fell on the rug. Ye Yan's back landed on the floor, but Su He was protected in his arms. 

Thankfully, the rug was very soft. Ye Yan did not feel too much pain. After the initial shock, Ye Yan quickly looked down at the person in his arms and asked anxiously, "Did you hurt yourself?"

Su He was still trapped in the lingering shock of the sudden fall. She snapped out of her trance when she heard Ye Yan's words and said in embarrassment, "I'm fine. Could you please let go of me now?"

Ye Yan sized Su He up. When he was convinced that she was not hurt, only then did he carefully help her to sit down and reluctantly let go of her.

Su He moved to the side right away. She was so embarrassed that she did not dare to look Ye Yan in the eyes. She then simply looked for a topic to talk about. "What brought you here? Besides…" Why did he appear inside her room's wardrobe?

Ye Yan found it hard to answer Su He's first question.

Originally, Ye Yan had intended to take a look at Su He and then leave quietly once he was assured that she was safe and sound.

A response soon came from the outside of the room, "Xiao Qi, it's me, Jifeng."

When Su He and Ye Yan heard Su Jifeng's voice, their hearts skipped a beat at the same time.

"I came to deliver something to you. Xiao Qi, open the door for me, will you? Xiao Qi?"

"Jifeng, why are you here?" Su He forced a smile as she opened her room door and saw Su Jifeng waiting outside. 

Su Jifeng looked past Su He and discreetly took a look at her room. He then smiled faintly. "I noticed that you didn't eat anything today except breakfast. Therefore, I had the kitchen helper prepare a bowl of your favorite tremella lotus seed soup. You could have it before going to bed."

Su He saw Su Jifeng holding a bowl of tremella lotus seed soup in his hand. She wanted to reach out for it, but Su Jifeng moved away from her.

"You are pregnant. It's best for me to take it in for you."

The smile on Su He's face turned stiff. She smiled dryly and said, "N-No need. I'm not that frail."

As Su He was saying this, she wanted to reach out for the bowl, but Su Jifeng moved away from her again.

Su Jifeng grinned as he looked at Su He. "Of course, I know you are not that frail. But I'd like to see you finish it myself. Or, perhaps, there's something inside the room that I'm not supposed to see?"

"N-No!" Su He quickly refuted him. Right after she spoke, she realized that she had overreacted, which made her appear as if she was indeed hiding something in her room. She quickly added to rectify the situation. "I just feel… a little embarrassed."

"What's so embarrassing about it? It's not like I have never been in your room before. Is there anything else that I have not seen before? Move aside and let me in."
