When the plane landed, Mo Shan wanted to follow them all the way to Huo's mansion but she was held up by the private driver of Mo family. Eventually she got into the car unhappily and left.0

Huo and Lu, in the meantime, were fetched by Huo family's own driver too, all the way to the mansion.

The scenery on their way there was dreamy and serene, yet never for one second Lu was in peace.

"What's wrong?" Teased Huo, "Didn't you want this the whole time you've been convincing me? Not happy now? We can go ask the driver to turn back anytime."

"Nah…It's just…I felt a bit upset the fact that you didn't even take a bite of the sushi I made for you all by myself." A random excuse Lu pulled just to pass the conversation. For some reason the closer they got to the mansion, the stronger the uneasiness in her heart.

"It's okay. You have the rest of your life making food for me." The whisper haunted her with his humid breath. Lu reflexively turned her head away and looked through the window, "I don't like to make things."

"I'll make them then," laughed Huo, "Whichever way you want to, I'll make you the happiest girl in bed."

Lu made a wise choice of remaining silent when the man harassed her.

"Well…" Huo predicted her indifference as he did stretched and yawn, "I came back to watch the drama…You've been quite energetic since we landed, unless you want to be the drama itself?"

The words were deadly to Lu's ears, as she turned back immediately, "When was the moment I ever acted against your will? As long as you don't get the cat out of the bag, that is."

"That's right," Huo squinted his eyes, fiddling with her strands of hair, "I love it when you look into my eyes."

Okay! I give up! I give up!

Lu literally put up her white flag on Huo, as she gave up struggling and retained her stare.

A moment later, the car jerked, as they had arrived by the grand Huo family's mansion. A number of expensive-looking cars were parked in a tidy row right outside.

They were welcomed by a pair of maids who courteously opened the door for them. They were overwhelmed the moment they stepped into the venue, as all the guests were significant. Even authoritative figures from all sort of fields in Kyoto, the capital of Country Z, were there.

She had visited the mansion a few times before, yet the mansion felt completely foreign to her this visit. It felt…very new, be it the flooring, the carpet or the porcelains around her. It was as if the entire mansion had been renovated along with the garden.

Lu was getting increasingly bewildered…

Huo Yunting passed her a glance without a word, only with more curiosity regarding the greatest news to the Huo family in him.

The party commenced with Huo Zhenning steadily walking to the stage in his gray suit and glancing at the guests below with a formal smile.

His face brightened when he saw Huo Yunting. His son returned to him after all.
