Where is Lu Zhaoyang?

Lu Zhaoyang knew he was only worried that she would be injured, so she nodded in assent. She would be happy as long as she could do something.1

When she finished her water, she took the brushes and paint with her and began to paint the wood materials.

After five long hours, Lu Zhaoyang finished painting and moved all the wood into the garage. She panted heavily in exhaustion, her face blushing from the exertion.

I'll take a shower now, and then have dinner. I should sleep well tonight.

Suddenly, Huo Chen appeared and offered a piece of tissue. "Wipe your face, you're sweating a lot."

She accepted it with thanks and headed downstairs. "Let's continue tomorrow. I'm going to shower now, I'm so tired!"

Huo Chen saw how quick she was moving and said, "Watch your step."

"You know I'm running, right?" She was jogging toward the stairs.

"Don't run down the stairs, it's dangerous."

"You're nagging!"

Huo Chen raised an eyebrow. No, I wasn't.

The afternoon work had really exhausted Lu Zhaoyang. After a shower, she slumped on the sofa to rest.

When it was dinner time, she was presented with a banana milk salad. She looked at Huo Chen and asked, "Where's yours?"

"I made it for you to help with your sleep."

As expected, nothing escaped him. He could every tiny detail about her.

"Thank you." Lu Zhaoyang wolfed it down and felt warm inside.

This peaceful life was really nice. She liked it a lot.

All the painting work and the food seemed to helped her sleep better that night. There was no nightmare, and more importantly, no Huo Yunting.

After a good night's sleep, she felt more refreshed the next day.

Huo Chen was delighted to see her feeling better. They continued the renovation works, enjoying the simple but peaceful life.

Mo Shan stepped inside Thunderbolt Corp's office, wearing an elegant pink dress.

She took a peek at the secretary department when she passed by and saw that Lu Zhaoyang was not at her desk.

Could she be in Brother Yunting's office again?

She hurried her pace. Lu Zhaoyang! How dare she?!

Mo Shan clenched her fists and knocked at Huo Yunting's office. There was no reply, but she braced herself and made her way in.

She was greeted with the sight of Huo Yunting pushing a pile of documents off his desk. The papers scattered on the floor around the secretary standing opposite him.

The secretary immediately bent down to collect the papers. Before she could finish, her employer uttered coolly, "Scram."

The secretary worked even faster, snatching all the papers into her arms and promptly made for the exit. She only took a quick glance at Mo Shan by the door before she left.

Mo Shan smiled and approached Huo Yunting. "Don't be mad, Brother Yunting."

Huo Yunting did not seem to hear her as he simply sat there without responding.

The pair of hands that landed on his shoulders startled him. He stood up and stared coldly at her. "Why are you here?"

Mo Shan's arms froze. Why would he overreact like this?

He never did before.

She slowly lowered her arms and smiled. "I'm here to see you. It's been a long time, don't you miss me?"

Huo Yunting looked away. "I'm busy."

Was he dismissing her?

Mo Shan could see that he was angry, but not busy.

Why was he angry?

Why did he have a new secretary? Where was Lu Zhaoyang?
