Huo Yunting continued to drink, so Mu Xian went over and snatched his wine glass away.1

"Stop drinking, it will only make you feel more sorrowful."

"I'm annoyed, not sorrowful." Huo Yunting threw him a glance and reached his hand out.

He was asking for his wine glass back, obviously.

"It's the same thing. Why be annoyed? She's only a woman, so get yourself another one."

Mu Xian put the wine glass out of his reach and even cleared away the other empty glasses around them.

"Have you seen me run around naked? Or do you feel like trying it out?" Huo Yunting stood up to retrieve his wine glass.

Mu Xian chuckled. "I don't feel like not running around naked. Even without Yu Yu, I can still enjoy the other women around me, unlike someone else here."

Mu Xian looked at the other man and considered for a moment to wait until he was drunk enough and fetch another lady to help improve his mood.

"You're a heartless playboy. I pity the poor little girl who fell for you."

"Who are you to judge?" Mu Xian saw that Huo Yunting's glass was empty and passed him the wine bottle, having given up on keeping him sober. "Alright, get on with it. Once you're drunk, you would stop overthinking things."

Huo Yunting threw a glance at him before filling up his glass.

"You're a little too trusting today. Aren't you afraid that I would ask you to sign away all your shares in Thunderbolt Corp when you get drunk stupid?"

Mu Xian saw the other man's complexion turning redder and redder. He must be getting really drunk by now. He sighed and made a call to ask Huo Li to come pick up his boss. Mu Xian would not be inviting Huo Yunting out again in the near future.

The man was really insistent on getting drunk today.

When Huo Li arrived, Huo Yunting was already lying on the sofa. Mu Xian was playing games on his phone while sipping on wine occasionally.

Mu Xian took one last look at Huo Yunting and said to Huo Li, "Take him home. He can't hold his drink today, it's like he's a complete different person."

"Thank you, Second Master!" Huo Li helped Huo Yunting up and made for the door.

Mu Xian interrupted him and asked, "You have been with him for so long. Do you think he fell in love with that woman? On the other hand, who helped her escape?"

And they succeeded.

"I think it's best if you don't inquire any further, Second Master."

"Alright, alright, I won't ask. Get going, then, and let me wallow in my disappointment alone." Mu Xian finished the rest of his drink in one gulp and affected a look of regret.

Huo Li ignored him and dragged Huo Yunting away.

When Huo Yunting was heavily drunk, something else was happening in Provence, France.

Lu Zhaoyang's "new home" was fitted with a new book rack and a swing. The round table next to the swing was in beige white and looked fitting and refreshing.

She was able to sleep better in the past two nights. She drank milk and ate food that improved her sleep. Huo Yunting would still appear in her dreams but at a much lower frequency.

Lu Zhaoyang was on her way back from shopping when she was greeted awkwardly in her own mother tongue. She saw a car stopped beside her with a male driver inside, and instinctively took a step back.

The man looked at her with eyes full of intention. " Hey lady, where you going? Want a ride?"

Lu Zhaoyang ignored him and looked toward Huo Chen. The latter quickly came to her side and guided her away with one hand on the small of her back.

They had only taken a few steps when the car drove past them.
