Evil Scheme V
She could not keep it to herself. "Good things are meant to be shared. The more the merrier!" She would deliver it to everyone in the family with her own hands.2
Imagine the look on their faces when they see it!
In her black Mercedes, she could not hide the joy from her twitching smile. She almost wanted to jump out of the car and go to the Huo family's residence herself.
Lu Zhaoyang, you filthy b*tch. I know you're a wh*re, but I never knew you'd stoop so low. You actually seduced both your brother and uncle in name! Now you're eloping too!
Brother Yunting must see her true colors! She definitely does NOT deserve my Brother Yunting. She must never step into their residence, EVER AGAIN!
Before she noticed, her car had already stopped by the Huo Family's residence. She glanced at her limited edition diamond Rolex. It was nine o' clock. "I wonder if they're asleep. I hope Yunting's grandmother is inside too."
Mo Shan tried to retain her poise the moment she stepped out of her car. She smiled as she nodded at the welcoming maids. "Good evening, is Old Lady Huo in?" Her excitement nearly broke loose when she asked that question. "Yes, she is in. She'll be going to her bedroom soon after chatting with the master and mistress. What is it, ma'am?"
"Oh, nothing~Just wanted to have a little chat with her greatness. You know, daughter-in-law stuff."
The maid bowed briefly before she went inside to inform Old Lady Huo about Mo Shan's visit.
Old Lady Huo remained seated in the living room as she greeted Mo Shan, "Shan, it's delightful to see you again." Mo Shan was that typical little girl who knew how to butter up the elderlies. No doubt it left the old lady with a good impression of her.
"Granny!" She walked towards the old lady passionately with open arms.
"Oh, Shan! What brings you here? Are you hungry? I can bring you your favorite bowl of stew right away!" said Huo Zhenning, feeling a little guilty about his son's rejection to the offer back then.
"Hello, uncle. Well, I'm good. Thank you for the concern." Mo Shan wore a bright smile as she turned to look at the old lady, "I actually came here for Brother Yunting." She took out the sealed envelope from her purse and frowned as she sat right next to the old lady. "I was in the city a few days ago, worrying about Brother Yunting because of this issue. I wanted to help, you know, as the future daughter-in-law of the Huo Family, so I sent my men to check things out for me. I was fortunate enough to retrieve this. I should have approached Brother Yunting right away but he was not in the office after I frantically headed to Thunderbolt Corp. He had flown somewhere else apparently. I can't reach him through phone either. So, I came all the way here."
The elephant in the room turned out to be the envelope. Meanwhile, Mo Shan pursed her lips innocently.
"Sorry, Shan. Yunting hasn't come home. He is still in the city. He would have called to ask whether I was in or not if he planned on visiting," replied the old lady, knowing the rebellious nature of her grandson. She could never see Huo Yunting in the house unless something happened.
Duh, Brother Yunting can't be here, alright. I'm not here for him either.
"I see…" Mo Shan regretfully responded. "It seems like I was too hasty on things. Hahaha—Well, granny, if Brother Yunting comes back , could you help me pass this to him? I won't be leaving home these days. Daddy needs me." She passed the envelope to the old lady with both hands.
"Very well." The old lady placed the envelope onto the glass table.
H-E-L-L-O, the script says you're supposed to open it now because you're inquisitive and very much concerned about your grandson.
Mo Shan panicked. Her visit would be meaningless if the old lady never opened the envelope herself.
