Huo Yunting may not sound convinced, but he believed her the moment she replied.

His hands slowly eased open as his fingers became intertwined with hers.

Lu Zhaoyang's eyes glistened coldly. "Huo Yunting, I never imagined that you would do something so shameless. You promised to keep my relationship with Chen a secret, so why did you expose our story to the Huo family? Is it simply to satisfy your carnal desires? President Huo, if you crave for women, the Golden City can offer as many as you want. Why did you have to back me into a corner?!"

Huo Yunting was surprised. Did she really think he did that?

He slowly loosened his hands and laughed softly as he stood up. He looked down at Lu Zhaoyang and said, "I have never been one for tricks and deceit."

Huo Yunting turned around and promptly left the room without defending himself any further.
