She bit her lips in awkwardness.

"Don't you remember what happened back then?" She slammed the table, shouting, "It was an emergency! I have to take you out! Yes, I might have fooled you before! Boss is indeed dead, but you would have joined him if I never tugged you out of the grave! It's actually Boss's plan—to ensure your safety! Blame him if you want to, but please stop blaming me for we are both are the only survivors now! What's the point?" 

The organization was entirely wiped out back then. Someone had to remain to live the spirit! She knew the boy would hate her for what she did. She knew the boy would rather be dead with his father than being all alone in this world!

She also knew that she faked her death by jumping out of the car before it blew up and sank in front of Huo Chen. Thanks to the ocean, Huo Chen could not trace her any further. But fate just had to be so capricious. 

Wen He shook the moment she reminisced the very second their eyes crossed at the bar again.

Lu Bai was quiet. Only the clink of chopsticks could be heard.

"I'm still a man, a gentleman after all. Leave this house the moment you have recovered." 

Guess I'll take the couch tonight.

Right after Zhaoyang changed into her pajamas, the doorbell rang.

And there Huo Yunting came in with wide steps the moment she opened the door.

"..." Lu Zhaoyang scowled as she laid on her bed with her eyes closed, waiting for the man to hop on and sleep. Nevertheless, it felt like Huo Yunting was taking forever in the bathroom, that she nearly fell asleep hearing the water streaming. 

She actually did the moment Huo Yunting exited with only a towel over his lower torso. 

He switched off the lights and snuggled with her, holding her in his embrace.

He was surprised that he managed to keep his libido under control and did nothing.
