She still did not want to see Huo Yunting getting hurt. He might be lower than a snake's belly but he had never maltreated her since their marriage. Instead, she was the bully. And only she could bully him.

Huo Yunting looked at her up and down. She seemed to be in good shape and was not excessively scared.

"You have to take care of me; I am your legally married spouse." He had decided to take advantage of his injury and make her spend more time with him.

"Why don't you say that I am indebted to you?"

She tasted the chicken soup and found it good. She then delivered it to Huo Yunting's mouth. Huo Yunting drank it. He knew she was feeling indebted but he did not want to talk about it now.

The ward was quiet and Huo Yunting was not in the mood to talk. He just ate quietly. After the meal, Lu Zhaoyang cleaned up. She then stood at the bedside as she tucked in the quilt for him.

"It is getting late. Go to sleep."

"Come here." Huo Yunting made room for her in bed.

Lu Zhaoyang was exhausted. Since she did not feel resistive to him, nor did she want to make an issue out of it, she laid down on the side of his uninjured arm.

Smelling the aseptic smell on his body, Lu Zhaoyang fell asleep.

Huo Yunting was a patient. Having lost so much blood and taken medicine, he too quickly fell asleep.

"Well, you can stay until you recover." Lu Bai did not have the heart to chase her away. Since now Huo Yunting was injured and his sister would not be back any time soon, Wen He should be able to stay for now.

"What bothers you?" Wen He felt that something was not right about Lu Bai since he came back. Lu Bai looked up from his iPad. "Wen He, will you find Hou Chen to seek revenge?"

"Our big brother said we should not seek revenge as long as we live. We should get on with our life. I did not mean to see Huo Chen that night."

Had she known that Huo Chen was in Golden City, she would have not gone there.

The army guy was her nemesis.

Wen He looked at Lu Bai's new clothes. She suddenly moved closer and took his iPad.

"Have you fallen for the pretty girl downstairs?"

"What do you want to do to her?" Lu Bai's calm expression suddenly changed. "Keep your hands off her, or I will not hesitate to stop you myself."

Wen He sneered at him. "What do you think I want to do to her? I am just curious. After all, it is your first love. Look, you are overreacting!"
