There were two beautiful ladies sitting beside him.1

His gaze was vaguely unfocused and he looked tired, but that only made him look even more captivating.

Recently, word got around that President Huo disliked company. Hence, when the people in the room heard him, they immediately stood up and got ready to leave.

The rest of the people in the room realized what was happening and started laughing as they got back to their seats.

The lady sitting to his right smirked at her.

"I'm more of a rebellious type." Lu Zhaoyang bent down and looked straight into Huo Yunting's drunken eyes. "You are drunk. Stop drinking and go home with me."

"Mind your own business." He looked away from her and downed a shot, seemingly to spite her.

"If I don't mind your business, who will? Who here can take care of you?" Lu Zhaoyang snatched the shot glass from him and pulled him up by his arm. "Let's go."

The people in the room were shocked. They had ever seen a woman act so arrogantly against Huo Yunting.

What surprised them even more was the fact that Huo Yunting actually yielded and stood up. He leaned heavily on her, forcing his body weight and terrible alcohol smell on Lu Zhaoyang.

How much had he drank? …

They left the private room together. Lu Zhaoyang could barely drag him to the exit. Along the way, she spoke quietly to him, "I know that you're angry, but you have to take care of yourself."

Huo Yunting merely buried his head into the crook of her neck and said nothing.

It felt wonderfully comfortable to be so close to her.

All the unhappy thoughts seemed to go away.

When they entered the elevator, Lu Zhaoyang was about to press for the ground floor when he reached out his hand and pressed on the floor above them instead.

Was he thinking of staying the night here?

"Stop fooling around and come with me." Lu Zhaoyang cancelled his destination floor and pressed for the ground floor reception.

Huo Yunting did not stop her. He could barely keep his eyes open. He was in that state when Lu Zhaoyang hauled him into her car.

She was worried that he might throw up during the ride home, so she drove slowly on the road. He stayed quiet in the backseat throughout the drive.

When they reached Serena Apartments, Lu Zhaoyang looked up to her unit by force of habit and found that the lights in the living room were still turned on.

Was Lu Bai still here?

By then, Huo Yunting was able to walk by himself, but when he looked up and noticed the same thing, he put his arm around her shoulders and leaned against her again.

He would not allow any other men to be with Lu Zhaoyang.

At the door to her apartment, Lu Zhaoyang explained patiently to him like she was talking to a child, "It's Lu Bai. He will not harm us."
