Ming Yue gulped down the wine, gritted her teeth, and sat back down next to Huo Yunting. She leaned towards him as her finger reached to touch him. "You have helped me a lot, and yet I don't know how to repay you. Why not—"

The cell phone suddenly rang and interrupted her advances.

Huo Yunting appeared cold as he whisked his hand away. Fearing of getting hit, Mun Yue jerked back instinctively only to find that he just wanted to reach for the ringing cell phone behind her. Huo Yunting shot her a glance before answering the phone restlessy.

"Boss! Good news! You wife is back! In the city! She has gone to the Huo family today!" Huo Li said, excitedly over the phone.

Xue Yuming had tried to call Huo Yunting several times. He did not pick up because he was busy. Now, he only saw her text message when he picked up the phone.

There was no emotion on Huo Yunting's face. He almost dropped his phone after hearing what Huo Li said.

Lu Zhaoyang was back. It had been almost four years; she had finally come back. Her gracious smile came to mind.

When Huo Yunting finally came to grips with the news, there was a hint of joy that flashed across his face, not knowing himself.

After a moment of hesitation, he hung up.

Ming Yue had no idea what the conversation was about but his minute change of expression did not escape her eyes. She was not prepared to give up just like that. "Yunting, we—"

"I am leaving," Huo Yunting said faintly. He put down the wine glass, got to his feet and left without even looking back.

Ming Yue sat motionless startled by his conduct. Holding the glass in her hand, the surprise and hesitation on his face flashed through her mind.

The natural instinct of a woman made Ming Yue suspect that there was only one explanation for his strange behavior: woman.

He loved someone else; she was damn sure about it.

Ming Yue smashed the wine glass onto the carpet. She was not afraid of the bitch.

She was the only subject of the gossip about Huo Yunting. She was confident that she would eventually own him.

Meanwhile, Huo Yunting headed straight to the airport after leaving the hotel. He could not wait to go back to the city to see her.

He thought of her eyes; it had been so many years, he wondered how she was. He had done nothing since he last pulled his men back.

He had made up his mind to forget her but after knowing that she had returned, his long-suppressed emotions erupted, becoming more and more intense.

He elevated Ming Yue because she somehow looked like Lu Zhaoyang. Out of guilt, he helped Ming Yue.

Her presence could temporarily quench his longing for Lu Zhaoyang. But all he could do was just look.

Huo Yunting could not get over the death of his mother. He could not drop his ego to find Lu Zhaoyang in the U.S. He had been living in self-denial for four years, despising himself for his fecklessness.

The maids were surprised to see him as he stepped into the Huo family's residence. The young master had never returned for the past few years. Even the old lady had to travel back to the city to see him.

Huo Yunting walked into the house as he usually did. His pace was lackadaisical; but upon closer look, there was a sense of hurry to it.

He saw a woman sipping tea quietly in the living hall as soon as he entered it .

Compared to before, she had regained her weight; her cheeks appeared chubbier.

Radiance and lustrous glow had replaced the hollowness in her eyes. Could she see now?
